Chapter 188 - Chapter 187: Poison Ivy: What to do if my man is in danger?

"Can we still find anything useful on this?" Huntress asked. She could tell that Poison Ivy seemed to know a lot about these things.

"I'll try." Poison Ivy didn't refuse. She had some trinkets Dane had given her.

She took a small bead from the necklace around her neck and placed it on the wetsuit.

The small bead scattered like sand, then, like a living thing, drilled into the armor.

Originally, Poison Ivy disliked wearing any man-made items, but she was willing to wear things Dane gave her.

"He actually gave you this gift? I don't even have one!"

Harley stood aside, pouting.

"You don't need it," Poison Ivy explained.

Harley's intelligence wasn't low, but she never did anything serious, so Dane gave useful things like this to Poison Ivy.

Huntress's eyes flashed as she listened to their conversation, wondering what she was thinking.

A moment later, the nanoparticles "crawled" out of the armor, re-forming into the small round bead.

Poison Ivy put it back into her necklace, and a neural link transmitted what the small bead had found in the wetsuit to her mind.

However, some content was encrypted, and the computing power of her current equipment wasn't enough to decrypt it.

But she had already seen some very important information.

First, this thing was indeed a Checkmate product, just as she had imagined.

The faceplate of this wetsuit was equipped with a recorder, containing all video records of the armor during its use.

Poison Ivy explained the situation to her two teammates.

Huntress frowned: "Can't we find a computer to decrypt its contents?"

Poison Ivy nodded: "Theoretically, yes, but my hacking skills aren't enough. Perhaps Barbara could do it."

Barbara's hacking skills were top-notch when she operated as "Oracle." Checkmate's passwords should be no match for her.

However, Huntress immediately dismissed this idea, which didn't surprise Poison Ivy.

"If we don't want to ask Barbara, we can only go to the Justice League. Their supercomputer should be able to decrypt this password."

Poison Ivy understood Cortana's abilities. If she didn't lack a body, Poison Ivy would almost think she was a Zhenren (Immortal).

She was undoubtedly the most human-like artificial intelligence in the World.

Huntress thought for a moment, then nodded. She was truly curious about those two people's matter.

"So what do we do? Call Superman directly?"

"No need for that," Poison Ivy smiled, taking off a bead and handing it to Huntress.

Helena took it. The bead transformed into nanoparticles in her hand, re-forming into a blue-glowing bracelet.

She looked at it curiously and even touched it, feeling a cool sensation.

"What is this?"

Poison Ivy assembled one for herself. As for Harley, she already had a bracelet, which she wore conspicuously on her hand, usually treating it as a regular sports bracelet.

After setting the coordinates on the bracelet, Harley grinned at Huntress and said, "You'll understand in a bit, dear."

"Ugh~" Helena pushed her face away, getting goosebumps.

At this moment, the bracelets on their hands glowed. Poison Ivy grabbed two wetsuits, one in each hand, the bracelets flashed brightly, and the three of them vanished from their original spot.

When they reappeared, they were already in the Hall of Justice.

"Where is this place?"

Helena looked at the bracelet in surprise. This was actually a bracelet that could teleport people!

Technology? Or magic?

"This is the Hall of Justice. You must have heard the rumors. That's right, they have a Hall of Justice, and this is it."

Huntress was stunned, feeling even stranger. How could Poison Ivy and Harley come and go freely in a place like this?

Rumors had it that the Justice League must have their own meeting place; otherwise, they couldn't possibly call each other right before a battle, then meet directly on the battlefield, could they?

Leaving aside how "low" that would be, it was impossible for them to have no tactical arrangements at all.

One day, a Kuaishou super streamer, "Rich Second Generation," "accidentally" revealed during a livestream.

There was indeed a place called the Hall of Justice, which was the Justice League's main base.

According to a Gotham gang boss who wished to remain anonymous, Robin did not appear that night, even though it was supposed to be his shift... Because of this, the gang boss dared not act, specifically waiting for him.

In the end, it was all for naught... Since then, a search for the Hall of Justice began across the World, with All America citizens who loved a good spectacle participating.

But despite "eager" people all over the World searching, no one could find the legendary "Hall of Justice."

"Cortana!" Poison Ivy called out to the empty hall.

"I'm here."

A woman's face appeared in mid-air. Poison Ivy felt a little strange; Cortana seemed much more sluggish.

This was, of course, because Cortana's main body had been taken away by Dane. What remained with the Justice League was only a sub-entity, fully functional but with lower intelligence than Cortana.

Poison Ivy didn't dwell on the issue. She threw the two wetsuits onto the floor.

"Cortana, scan these two machines. I want all the files inside."

"Understood."

The Cortana sub-entity cast a beam of light, scanning the two suits.

"Encrypted files detected. Would you like to decrypt them?"

"Decrypt."

"Two video files found. Would you like to view them?"

Poison Ivy and Huntress exchanged glances, then nodded.

"Play them."

Then the video began playing on the big screen: an unfamiliar place, a group of unfamiliar people.

But from their conversation, Poison Ivy heard a familiar name.

"Pause!"

Cortana paused the video as instructed.

"Rewind, stop!"

"What's wrong?" Huntress didn't know Amanda Waller. When she learned about Checkmate, Waller hadn't risen to power yet, but Poison Ivy was aware of her.

"Cortana, retrieve Amanda Waller's information."

Subsequently, Amanda Waller's basic information appeared in the bottom right corner of the large screen, even more detailed than CIA files.

Huntress looked and thought, "Well, it really was Checkmate's people who did it. Then why were they so sneaky? Aren't they an official organization?"

They continued watching the video. Harley was somewhat bored and found a place to slump down.

Poison Ivy and Huntress, however, heard the keyword "mission" and started having Cortana play at increased speed.

At the same time, they asked her to pay attention to mission-related content, and soon they saw scenes from Atlantis.

This instantly woke up a drowsy Harley, who seemed to have discovered something interesting and leaned closer.

When they saw one of the marine creatures attacking the wetsuit's owner begin to deform, their expressions changed.

When they saw Peacemaker's face turn into tentacles, they recoiled further.

"What the heck is that?"

Subsequently, they understood the whole story from the conversations within the wetsuits.

Including the identity of their enemies, what mission they were executing, and so on.

The final video segment was on a submarine. The wetsuit's owner walked into a cabin, and a pair of golden eyes was the last image in this video, then everything abruptly stopped.

Poison Ivy and Huntress exchanged bewildered glances. Who was that You-Know-Who at the end? And how did they get to Metropolis? There was no follow-up to any of this!

"This matter should be reported to the Justice League," Huntress said.

Although she was very strong-willed, she also had self-awareness, knowing that she or the entire Birds of Prey team couldn't handle this situation alone. They had to call in the Justice League.

When it came to fighting aliens, the Justice League was the professional.

Poison Ivy asked Cortana: "Cortana, where is Shazam now?"

"He and his main body are currently in the Bermuda Triangle of the Atlantic Ocean."

Harley's eyes lit up: "He went to Atlantis!"

The previous video had already stated that Atlantis was located in that sea area.

"Yes." Cortana gave an affirmative answer.

Indeed, the intelligence had decreased.

Poison Ivy secretly grumbled. Usually, Cortana would have already announced this important information without anyone needing to ask.

However, since Dane had already gone to Atlantis, it meant he was already dealing with this matter... right?

Suddenly, she felt a pang of worry: what if Dane encountered danger?
