(Emily gave the phone to principal without saying anything)
Principal: she's not able to answer right now. I'll send her home when she calms down.
Mrs. Watson: ok, thank you Miss Caroline.
Principal: no problem, Mrs. Watson. I'll put the phone down now.
(Miss Caroline cuts the call and looked at Emily who was not in the room anymore. She ran out of the room to find her but she was not any where to be seen)
Timeskip
(the school was over and everyone was gone but Emily was still not found. Emily's family was also worried and looking for her everywhere. Right now they were in the principal's office. Emily's mother was crying and Travis was trying to calm her down. William went with the security guard to look for her in the school building. Ms Caroline gave a glass of water to her mother. She did not take it. Travis kept rubbing her back assuring her that Emily will be found. William came with Emily and the security guard. Emily was hugging William and he had his arm on her shoulder. Their mother stood up and immediately hugged Emily)
Mrs. Watson: where were you? I was so worried about you.
Emily: i'm sorry for disappearing like that.
Travis: i don't think this is the right place to talk about it. Let's go home.
(William went out of the room with Emily and Travis while their mom thanked the principal)
Principal: i didn't say anything today but next time she will be expelled according to school's rules. Please do talk to her.
(She left and then they got home. Everyone was now in the living room)
Mrs. Watson: go to sleep everyone. Let's talk about this tomorrow.
(She went to her room. The siblings looked at eachother. They went up. But they didn't go to their own rooms, they took their pillows and went to their mother's room. She wasn't sleeping She was pretending because she heard her kids. The three of them went to her and hugged her. Emily on one side, William on the other and Travis beside William. They hugged their mother more like showing her that they love her and will protect her. Their mother smiled)
Mrs. Watson: i'm so lucky to have you three. I love you so much.
Three of them: we love you too mom.
(They slept. Next morning the three of them made breakfast for their mother *well it was a disaster* but still their mother liked it. It was weekend and everyone was home. After eating breakfast and cleaning the table, everyone was now in the living room. Emily wanted to avoid the topic and her mother understood. So she let her go to her room while the other two were still there. Their mother was also about to go to her room)
William: mom, can we tell you something?
Mrs. Watson: go ahead.
(She sat back down)
William: well yesterday, when i went with Emily's school's guard to find her, i talked to her before coming to you.
Mrs. Watson: what did you talk about?
William: well i found her on the school's rooftop and she was sitting on the floor, her head was down but i knew that she was crying. I went to her and asked her about this. She said," i am already sad because dad died and now i know for sure that the other students are gonna make fun of me." I asked why and she said,
Emily: "because dad was ill and he didn't do work. A few friends of mine used to make fun of me saying it's just a friendly joke when it's clearly not. I told them not to do this again but instead of being cooperative, they chose to take it further saying you are a cry baby and nothing else. I felt so bad. I told the teacher about it and she scolded them in the class but that didn't affect them at all. What should i do"
William: that's what she said. Then we came to you.
Mrs. Watson: oh my, i'll check on her.
(She went upstairs. Emily was studying. Her mother slightly knocked on the door and Emily looked behind)
Emily: you don't have to knock. The knocking rule is only for Will and Tray (William and Travis)
Mrs. Watson: i'll remember that. Can i take a few minutes of yours? I have an important thing to talk about with you.
Emily: sure.
(Emily put her things back and faced her bed. Her mother sat on the bed)
Mrs. Watson: well i got to know about your reason for running away yesterday.
Emily:(sighs) i'm sorry for not telling you. I was scared you'd be mad at me and worry about me.
