Braelyn's POV
For the first time that night, Raphael looked like a man who realised the situation was spiralling beyond his control. His jaw clenched his hand now holding mine tightened a bit as he whispered.
"This is probably another crazy stunt." He said in a low tone, his jaw clenched as he watched the stretcher pulled away from the driveway.
"I trust you Lynn. You wouldn't stain your hand especially not with someone not worth it." He said then slowly glanced at me. The image of the ambulance driving away reflected across the car's glass windows with the bright lights still flashing.
"You trust me," I said slowly.
He frowns softly, "Who else will I trust?" He asked me baffled. I chuckled at his words.
"You didn't trust me in the past, Raphael. " I said coldly remembering all those times he chose her over me and now her life was even at risk.
