It took a moment to get my thoughts together. Everything was just spiralling all at once and I could not let her see me at this wreck
She already knows the spoilt brat, the psycho and the menace, she didn't need to see the complete wreck of a man I was. I brushed my fingers through my hair, the dark chocolate locks were all over the place.
"Get yourself together," I muttered before releasing a laugh. When was the last time I got my shit together?
Amber should not have said that crap to me. It reminded me of her once again, and I was finally forgetting her laugh echoing in my head. Her touch was finally fading away and she just had to mention her again.
She was my dark shadow, and Braelyn was the light that wanted to consume and burn me. The very light I wanted to taint until it was dark because I couldn't coexist with light
