A FEW HOURS BEFORE SOREN WALKED HOME
"Are you here to see President Zane?" the lady at the counter asked after recognizing Soren right away.
"Yes, please."
"Please wait a moment."
She called in and reported his arrival.
"You can head into the President's office," she said placing down the receiver.
Soren walked in with his hands tucked in his pants as usual.
"What brings you here? You could have called me ahead," Zane said standing up from his seat.
"It wasn't something to talk over the phone," Soren looked at him with a judgmental gaze.
Zane just looked at him, waiting for him to spill over. He had recognized the stiff expression on Soren's face which meant it was something serious.
"Do you really love Moren?" Soren asked, looking into his eyes.
"What type of question is that?" Zane chuckled awkwardly. "Of course I do."
"Then don't let him see Father."
Zane's smile faded. "What? What do you mean by that?"
