The Vault groaned as its inner rings rotated, ancient symbols lighting one after another like awakening stars. A cold wind rushed out, carrying the smell of forgotten centuries. Eris stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as the glow settled into a single pulsating mark — the crest of the Seven Souls.
He felt a tug inside his chest.
A calling.
Behind him, the stone guardians he defeated earlier began turning to dust. Their purpose was complete.
Eris raised his hand. The mark on the door reacted, flaring brighter, then dimming… as if it was breathing.
A voice echoed from somewhere deep inside the chamber:
"Descendant… enter."
Eris swallowed. "So I've been expected."
The door split in two with a thunderous crack. Inside the vault was a massive hall shaped like a circle, walls carved with murals of seven warriors — each holding a different primordial force. Their eyes glowed faintly when Eris stepped inside.
But what drew his attention was the pedestal at the center.
Floating above it was a shard of pure light, swirling like a miniature sun.
Eris approached slowly. His heartbeat synced with the shard's pulse.
Then the murals lit up, each of the seven warriors speaking with one combined voice:
"The Legacy awakens. Touch it, and inherit what was sealed."
Eris hesitated. "If I touch this… there's no going back."
He reached out anyway.
His fingers brushed the shard—
A flash erupted—
The ground trembled—
The hall shook like a living beast—
Then the light swallowed him completely.
Inside the blinding radiance, Eris heard a whisper directly within his mind:
"Welcome, Heir of the Seven… prepare to witness your true origin."
