Chapter 86 - Jobs.

As I walked within the castle grounds, Chrysalis and Celestia followed me closely, both holding my arms like children as they looked around with curiosity.

As we continued to walk, they would occasionally take quick glances outside in wonder of the city beyond.

"My Lord Stygian, is this the city we are to help manage?" Celestia asked, looking up at me.

"Yes. I'll explain more once we reach my office," I tell Celestia.

Walking past several guards that greeted me, they opened the doors to the meeting room where my office was in close proximity.

But as they opened the doors, my eyes went wide as the Six Sins were currently there. I wasn't expecting them here today.

Walking inside, they quickly took notice of me and got up from their seats, giving me a bow.

"Sins, I wasn't expecting you all here today," I tell them.

"What do you mean? You were the one who told us to come here, though. See?" Asmodeus tells me and pulls out a letter with my sigil and writing.

Oh yeah, right. I did ask them to come here.

"Apologies. I have been quite busy as of late, and I must have forgotten what day it was today."

"No worries, Your Majesty. Though I must ask—who's the little dolls~?" Asmodeus asks me with a suggestive smirk.

"Yeah… who are they… Your Highness?" Bee asks me while staring daggers at me.

Well, I guess I should explain who these two are since they'll be working with them. I shake my arms a bit to tell the two I needed them to let go. As I did this, they seemed a bit confused why I was doing it, but after only a few seconds, they quickly got the message and let go of me, stepping back slightly.

Fixing myself a bit, I moved closer to the table and spoke.

"First off, I would like to apologize for being late and forgetting I had a meeting with all of you today. Secondly, I would like to introduce you all to my two new assistants, Celestia and Chrysalis."

"So they're just your assistants?" Bee asked.

"Yes, nothing more, nothing less."

Bee took a sigh of relief before she took a seat on her chair, but as she sat down, Leviathan was staring and smirking at Bee and had a faint idea of what was happening.

"Before we start this meeting, please, all of you, take a seat."

The other five Sins gave me a small bow before taking their seats.

"Now that everyone's seated, first of all, I would like to inform everyone why I've called this meeting." Opening a rift, I pulled out the large mobile phone and the different blueprints that VoxTek gave me.

"I would like to introduce to all of you the future of Hell's communication. With these blueprints, we will be able to more effectively spread and gather information all throughout Hell and make long-distance communication much more effective."

As I continued to explain my future plans to them, Leviathan raised her arm to get my attention.

"Tell me, Your Majesty, what do you need us here for? Couldn't you have just told one of our servants to come here and let them deliver the news?" Leviathan asks me.

"Thank you for bringing that up. Yes, I could have done that, but this type of information is sensitive, and knowing some demons, they could possibly sell this information to someone else and profit from it," I say, the last part looking at Mammon.

"What!? Hey! Just because I like money doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to go against the Crown!" he exclaimed, then crossed his arms while slumping into his chair.

"Alright, for the final part of this meeting, I would like you to know the role of my two new assistants. Celestia, for the most part, shall be working close to me, handling the paperwork and meetings whenever I'm not available, and Chrysalis shall be managing and controlling the changelings."

"Changelings?" they all asked in unison.

"Yes. The changelings are a species of humanoid insects I created and have been using for reconnaissance for any problematic royal or insurgent. They have a rather unique ability to gather information by absorbing the surface thoughts of their target, and the longer they're in contact with their target, the deeper the memory. And the most important and unique ability they possess is to transform and change their appearance into anyone."

"Wait, so these… changelings… they can just… be anywhere, and we wouldn't know?" Asmodeus asks.

"Yes, but their shapeshifting isn't perfect. If you can point out and spot the flaws of their disguise, the charade completely falls apart."

"So why tell us this?" Bee asked.

"Well, as of now, I didn't have a really good way of commanding and controlling the changelings. They're all quite the pranksters, so I've been keeping them here until I found a solution."

"And have you?" Leviathan asked.

Smiling, I turned to Chrysalis and asked her to step forward.

"I would like to reintroduce to all of you Chrysalis, the Queen of the Changelings. I have given her the ability to connect and control every changeling and command them within a hive mind. This will allow her to keep them in check and do their jobs."

"Amazing. Tell me, nephew… how strong are they in a fight?" Satan asked me while rubbing his chin.

"They are quite durable, but I don't think they'll be able to handle your fury, Uncle."

Uncle simply huffed in annoyance before crossing his arms.

"Now, in a few months, I will be sending you all your own personal changelings for you to command, and alongside them, the blueprints to create cell towers and cell phones—once Chrysalis is ready, of course."

They all gave a nod before getting up from their seats.

"Thank you for coming, and I'm sorry once more for forgetting about the meeting."

"Don't sweat it, nephew," Satan spoke before opening a portal and leaving.

The rest gave their farewells before creating a portal of their own and leaving—well, all except one.

Bee waited for everyone else to leave before coming closer to me and giving me a quick kiss on the cheek and apologizing for thinking I was already cheating on her.

Oh, Dad, how do I tell her about Emily…

Once she had left, I opened a rift leading to the changeling hive and told Chrysalis to step through and take her place as Queen.

She looked rather nervous but excited at the prospect of leading her new subjects. As she stepped through, the rift closed, leaving me and Celestia alone.

I told her to follow me and, without speaking, she did. As we walked across the meeting room and into my office, I sat down on my chair and spoke.

"Sit." She then quite literally sat on the floor.

"I mean sit on one of the chairs near the desk." She got up from the floor and sat on the chair next to the desk.

Handing her a piece of paper and a pen, I simply told her to write down her name, and she did.

It was written cleanly and without much mess, so to test her even further, I picked up a document that wasn't really all that important and asked her to read and fill it out.

After only reading it for a minute, she quickly filled it out and without any error.

To say I was impressed was putting it lightly. Well, it's to be expected since one of the sigils I placed was Prudentia.

Picking up a stack of documents, I handed it to her and watched her go to town. Picking up a stack for myself, I started working beside her.
