Things were changing, and almost everyone had begun to notice.
There was another shift. Lady Vivian had become far more cautious around me, as if she were trying to catch me at fault.
I could not speak to Kash because we were no longer talking in front of anyone or alone too. Earlier that day, while he was at the hospital with Lara, his trusted men and his royal beta Walkin told me they wanted to be harsh with Luca to force the truth out of him.
I immediately disagreed. I knew they would use certain methods, actions meant to break him until he confessed. So I refused.
Shortly after, Kash called me. He said we would discuss it at home.
Unfortunately, when he arrived, he saw me with Luca. The way Luca ran off made everything look suspicious.
I left Lady Vivian and Lara in the living room, fully aware they were conspiring against me, and took my children to change and freshen up.
While they were occupied, I slipped back into my room to speak with Kash.
