"Dear Master Louis,
Your brother has asked me to relay that you are to end your relations with Mrs Acland and return her to her husband."
The email read.
It had left me speechless after I was done reading it the day before.
Why was my brother concerned about my relations with Jasmine? The Acland and Carrington groups had no affiliations with one another. And secondly, what did he mean by; 'return her to her husband' as if she was an object being passed around?
I was left dumbfounded on the train yesterday, thinking about it over and over again. Up until Jasmine brought me out of my thoughts when the train arrived in Kensington. Something felt off perhaps he might be curious about the situation but they wouldn't tell me to end things.
