Heat rose in my cheeks in embarrassment as I recalled drinking more than I should have and then my words slurring when I spoke. Everything else pretty much became a blur after that.
"I'm so sorry," I apologized appalled by my behaviour. Suddenly, I wanted to disappear as I recalled drinking the wine like crazy, then crying on him. He must think I'm a crazy, bothersome woman. I thought to myself.
"I should probably go," I said as I moved to get out of bed and get dressed.
"Hang on Jasmine, we're not finished here," he said to me and blocked my path.
I looked up at him with raised eyebrows wondering why. My head throbbed even more as I moved to the edge of the bed and I almost fell off.
" You also shouldn't be moving around this much," he told me."Not while you're still hungover," he chided me. He then helped me sit back up on the bed. He took the jug of water from the bedside table and poured it into the glass beside it.
"Here drink," he ordered. I did as he said.
