Chapter 2 - A Demon and an Angel

"Now that the Millennial War between the demons and angels has concluded, peace reigns for all eternity. Right?

If only it were so... Unfortunately one day, something changed everything."

"And that concludes this book, you may be dismissed, and I'll see you tomorrow." A teacher, from the first unified high school concludes the novel about the history between angels and demons.

However one curious little demon, impatient as most teenagers are abruptly- and quite rudely- asks their teacher a question. "What?! That's like the biggest cliffhanger ever! What is this 'something'?! And why is each novel so short?!"

Their teacher, a wise and calm demon, who actually lived throughout the Millennial War as one of Hell's only healers, chuckles. "Dear students, it was a test to see if you were following along. And now you've proven that individual reading is necessary."

The demon, Lyrik, turns bright red. "Seriously?! Dammit!"

Once again their teacher, called Doc, although his name is Krozo, chuckles. "Nothing will change our peace. Do any of you dislike peace? Besides Vy? Because everyone in the school knows he'd rather be fighting."

The whole class laughs at the gesture, as a cocky angel, with his feet on his desk and chair leaning back on two legs, scoffs. "Well I actually want to do something with my life! Unlike you losers!"

As the final bell rings and classes are dismissed, the ground begins to shake, the lights flicker dimly, and a giant explosion coming from the woods interrupts the daily lives of thousands.

Doc, who is worried if someone was hurt by the explosion flies to the site. One person lay in a crater. "Something isn't right about that person..." Doc lands by the crater and tucks his wings away, making them retreat back into his shoulders.

The person inside, a mere child, but not... Right. White hair, one green and one blue eye, a demon tail, a set of demon horns, a white halo, two feathery wings, but the right is black and the left is white...

Doc mumbles to himself, "What was that explosion, and why is a child... Or whatever this is- unconscious in a crater?" He thinks for a moment, "What should I do? What will happen to this poor child...?"

The child in question, wakes up, rubbing it's eyes sleepily. "Hello? Who are you?"
