'No wonder that the system judged Victoria would lose against this monster. Even though I have fought much more devastating foes in my past life, this young body is getting goosebumps just looking at it.' Michael instantly activated Berserker at its maximum capacity.
"Are you going to be okay without your hammer?" He whispered to Ava.
With a smug smile, she removed her gloves and rolled up her sleeves, showing her cybernetic arms.
"It has been a long time since I used these bad boys to their full potential."
When it came to Elite aliens, bullets of all kinds were useless, so she didn't even consider trying to use the pistol that had been fastened on her belt.
"Engaging combat. If you think that you can't keep up, make your safety your number one priority." Victoria said calmly before exploding forward.
Even with the combination of Berserker and Dash, Michael's top speed paled in comparison to hers. This was how big the difference in their strength was.
Unlike the Lower and Higher tier aliens, the Elite ones had a much higher degree of intelligence.
The being had a height of 5 meters and was clad in armor that looked to be made out of metal. Four arms were protruding from its back with a jagged blade in each hand.
Before the Elite monster could sense the danger, Victoria was already behind it. Her weapon of choice was a blade, much smaller than Michael's greatsword. However, at first glance it was made apparent that it was no normal blade. It was glowing with neon light. In less than a second it had reached a temperature rivaling magma!
Swosh!
The next second a large gash appeared on the being's back.
ROOOAR!
The Elite monster wasn't just going to stay idle. Ice materialized on the wound, sealing it faster than one can blink. Simultaneously it turned around four blades going for Victoria's weak points.
"The advantage of being short is that rarely people see you coming until it's too late!" Ava exclaimed, reaching the side of the monster in a flash.
Her right arm trembled before extending several times, forming a metal blade!
Boom!
Cracks began to appear on the ice around them. Victoria kept the Elite's attention on herself, dashing between its numerous attacks in a mesmerizing dance while delivering well-timed strikes when the opportunity showed itself.
Ava, meanwhile, attacked in sync, using her shorter stature to her advantage. She never failed to hide in the enemy's blind spot before attacking.
'These two are something else.' Michael was inspired by the perfect synergy between the two. If things continued this way, they would win without any kind of assistance.
'What are you waiting for?! Make the fucker bleed! I want to taste its blood!' The sword's voice resonated in his head.
[Dash activated]
Once Michael judged the moment right, he went all out. The edges of his vision blurred, going faster than any normal human could ever.
The edge of his blade blurred in the air, delivering a devastating strike.
BOOM!
Making use of the sword's weight as well as his one-second boost in speed, Michael delivered the most harmful strike to the alien as of yet!
Regaining its composure, the Elite shifted its attention to Michael. Assaulting him with its threatening aura.
However, to the alien's confusion, Michael wasn't affected in the slightest. At a certain level every being could release its threatening aura that would cause harm to its enemies. The more lives one has taken, the more devastating the pressing aura.
Even Victoria had been slowed down slightly by the Elite's aura, yet Michael didn't seem affected.
'HAHAHA! This brat has taken more lives than I can count. There is no way a little Elite's aura would slow him down!' The sword exclaimed in happiness once it tasted the blood of the alien.
'Now I just have to survive the 30-second cooldown. Simple, right?' With the Dash now being unusable for half a minute, he found himself under the assault of the alien.
Michael would have been in trouble if the two women didn't have his back.
"Don't forget about me!"
"Good work, cadet."
Ava and Victoria delivered a strike from its two sides, causing it to kneel.
ROOAR!
Beginning to feel in danger, ice spikes began to form on the body of the alien before they were sent outwards in every direction.
"Ava!" Managing to reach Ava in time, Michael used his greatsword as a shield to protect both of them.
Meanwhile, the projectiles that had been sent towards Victoria stopped half a meter before reaching her.
"Do you think you can harm me with such a pathetic attack?"
The Elite monster had failed to damage its foes with its attack. But it had achieved its secondary goal. The ice spikes made numerous holes on the walls of the geyser, alerting the nearby Higher tier aliens.
It didn't take long for slimes with a height of a meter to show up. The ground beneath them dissolves under their acid fluids.
"I will keep the slimes off your backs! You deal with the Elite!" Michael called out before facing his new foes.
Ava and Victoria continued to wear out the Elite monster. At the same time, Michael moved as fast as he could, decapitating slimes left and right.
Despite them being of the Higher tier, they had a weak defense. So he was able to kill them with his soul weapon with relative ease.
The only problem was that these slimes had the ability to shoot out dissolving acid like turrets. Some of them managed to scratch Michael and damage his suit but not enough to harm his skin.
"Gods, I hate slimes so much!" Michael sighed, wiping the sweat off his forehead. It had taken him more than half an hour to get rid of all the slimes.
"Did we win?" Michael turned to the two women to ask since the explosions of battle had long faded, replaced by strange silence.
His next words stuck in his throat, and his eyes widened as he saw Victoria. Some of the slime's shots had managed to hit her, melting the upper part of her suit. Fortunately, being of a high realm, the acid didn't harm her milky white skin.
Her face was unusually rosy as she made eye contact with Michael. One of her hands was covering her breasts, squishing them in the process and emphasizing their fullness.
The only thing that broke the awkward silence was the sword's laughter. 'HAHAHA! Gods, I love slimes so much!'
