"Guardians of the Galaxy? That's a bold name," Stark said, unconvinced.
They only dared to call themselves the "Avengers." Who were these people, daring to claim they were guardians of the galaxy?
Strange chuckled, "The Guardians of the Galaxy are similar to your Avengers, an organization of superpowered individuals with a sense of justice, formed to fight against dark, evil forces. Their leader, Peter Quill, is an Earthling born in the 80s, with a Celestial hybrid gene."
"Meaning, they could be potential allies?" Stark asked.
"Yes, they each have their strengths," Strange said. "And Thanos's goal is to gather the six Infinity Stones and eliminate half the population of the universe. No one can remain unaffected!"
"In that case, Stephen, do you know where the Guardians of the Galaxy are based? Should we go and talk to them directly?" Peter said, then suddenly noticed Stark's strange look, "Uh... why are you looking at me like that, Tony?"
Stark sighed, "Peter, do you know how big the galaxy is?"
"Of course I do! The galaxy is a flat, disk-shaped body, thick in the middle and thin at the edges, with a diameter of about 100,000 light-years, about 10,000 light-years thick in the center, and about 3,000 to 4,000 light-years thick at the edges. It includes 150 to 400 billion stars and a large number of star clusters, nebulae, and various types of interstellar gas, interstellar dust, and black holes..." Peter rattled off knowledgeably.
He said he'd taken an astrophysics elective when he graduated high school, and while it wasn't particularly in-depth, he understood the basics.
"So, how hard is it to find a team in this vast galaxy when all we know is their name?" Stark countered.
"Uh..." Peter was momentarily speechless, and he looked at Strange. "I guess we could ask for some magical help?"
Strange shook his head. "I'm sorry, I don't know where they are either. And, maybe you have a slight misunderstanding. The Guardians of the Galaxy are just a super-powered team made up of a few people, not an army."
"Huh?" Stark and Peter were both a bit stunned.
They had originally thought that a team calling themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy would at least be a large organization with an entire interstellar fleet.
Otherwise, how could they guard the galaxy?
So, it was just this?
How can you even call yourselves that?!
"So, can you find Hulk? Or contact Asgard?" Stark felt that the so-called Guardians of the Galaxy were unreliable based on Strange's description, so he thought of his two old friends.
Compared to the Guardians of the Galaxy, who seemed only to have a loud name but whose actual combat strength was unknown, Stark was more willing to believe in Hulk and Thor, who had once fought alongside him.
It's just that the two of them had disappeared more than a year ago.
Especially Hulk.
During the battle with Ultron, they were both controlled by Wanda, which led to Hulk's rage, and he was therefore reviled.
Heartbroken, Hulk boarded a Quinjet and went into space.
God knows, although the Quinjet did have the idea of space travel when it was designed, Stark had never prepared to actually fly it into space.
Sometimes he wondered if his old friend...
Strange said, "Don't worry, Hulk should be with Thor right now, they're both in Asgard."
Stark's eyes lit up at the words, his tone filled with joy: "Then what are we waiting for? I don't trust those Guardians of the Galaxy, but if we can find Hulk and Thor, maybe we can deal with Thanos and his Black Order ourselves."
Strange shook his head: "Asgard is undergoing Ragnarok, it's Asgard's predetermined fate. As for Hulk and Thor, they will also have their own missions. I'm telling you this so you can focus on your own tasks, not to get sidetracked."
"Ragnarok? You mean the Ragnarok from Norse mythology?" Stark asked, pausing to let Friday quickly search for related myths.
Strange nodded: "That's right, the Ragnarok."
Stark suddenly became anxious.
According to the prophecy of Ragnarok in Norse mythology, this Ragnarok would cause the death of many important gods, including Odin, Thor, Heimdall, and Loki, as well as some other gods.
Odin is the ruler of Asgard, and also Thor's father.
Loki is Thor's brother.
Stark had heard Heimdall's name from Thor before. Apparently, he was a god who could teleport people anywhere instantly.
But the deaths of those three gods didn't move Stark much.
He wasn't close to them.
He'd even fought Loki once, and Stark was the one who ended up paying for the chaos Loki caused in New York.
But Thor was different.
Thor was his beloved friend!
The kind you wouldn't betray, even for money.
They had fought side-by-side many times, had a few parties together, and eaten terrible pizza together.
"Get me there. We'll deal with Ragnarok first, then face Thanos together!" Stark's tone was tinged with urgency.
Strange subtly took a step back, still shaking his head.
"You can't solve Ragnarok. It is Asgard's destiny," Strange said. "And this Ragnarok isn't the same as the folk tale you know. Don't worry."
Stark calmed down a bit.
Strange said, "I once had a brief conversation with the Allfather, Odin. He told me that their Ragnarok originated from his daughter, the Goddess of Death, Hela."
"Odin's daughter? Isn't that the princess of Asgard, Thor's sister?" Peter asked curiously. "Could it be some evil force trying to marry the princess, and Asgard refused, leading to a fight that ultimately caused its destruction?"
Peter's mind conjured up a "hero versus dragon" scenario:
A female version of Thor (he hadn't seen Hela, but they were siblings, so they should look somewhat alike, right?) was captured by a spiky turtle.
Thor put on overalls to go and rescue her.
After some effort, he finally rescued his sister.
But because of this, he angered the Spiked Turtle.
The Spiked Turtle summoned his underlings to seek revenge.
In a great battle, Asgard was destroyed, and Ragnarok descended!
Strange: ???
"Hela is a goddess with a strong desire for conquest. According to the records of Kamar-Taj, she once helped Odin conquer countless civilizations, making Asgard a realm of gods and making Odin the King of the Gods!"
