Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Lamour Awakens

A small coastal town on the edge of the Eastern Sea was experiencing a quiet night. The markets were closed, the fishermen had returned from their voyages, and the children slept to the sound of the waves. No one expected that this night would be written in their history with blood and fire.

On the horizon, a massive ship appeared, its black sails tattered, and on its prow stood a wooden statue of the head of a sea monster. There was no mistaking it: it was the ship of Lamour, the pirate everyone thought had perished years ago.

Lamour stood on its deck, his massive body covered in scars, his gray hair whipping in the wind, and his blue eyes shining with a deadly coldness. He was silent, but his presence alone was enough to instill fear.

"Sir, the city is asleep," one of his men said hoarsely. "Shall we begin?"

"Begin… Make the sea remember my name," Lamour replied, his voice low but sharp.

The ship steamed toward the harbor, its ancient but deadly cannons firing. Fires erupted on the docks, setting small ships ablaze. The townspeople awoke to the sounds of explosions and screams.

Lamore's men landed on the shore, their faces covered in black masks, their swords gleaming in the firelight. They began attacking houses, looting warehouses, and setting fires everywhere.

The city guards tried to resist, but they were few in number, and their swords were no match for the pirates' brutality.

In the midst of the chaos, Lamore himself landed. He didn't need to speak. He walked with heavy steps, carrying a massive axe in one hand, and anyone who approached him fell with a single blow.

"It's Lamore! He's back!" shouted one of the guards.

The word spread like wildfire, sending everyone into a panic.

But Lamore wasn't killing aimlessly. He was searching for something. He entered a large warehouse in the center of the port, where the goods from Athens were stored. He looked around, then said in a deep voice:

"Athens... all roads lead to you."

He took some boxes, then ordered his men to withdraw. His goal wasn't to completely destroy the city, but to send a message: that Lamour wasn't dead, and that the sea was still his.

As his ship withdrew, the city was burning behind him. Smoke rose into the sky, and the sounds of wailing mingled with the roar of the waves.

Lamour stood on the deck of his ship, watching the flames from afar, and said in a cold voice:

"Let everyone know… that Lamour is back. Whoever stands in my way will drown."
