Chapter 3 - Chapter 1; Meeting Paimon + The Outlander Who Perfected the Winds

I woke up with a from the depths of that void that ROB has removed me from, feeling my body, feeling at ease, I felt like i got a headacke I looked out into the reflection of the nearest lake to find out that I truly am the male traveller that I wished/picked at the beginning of the game; Aether.

I look exactly the same as like i was the original aether in the game, everything about his features was exactly like aether to a "T". With my hair is a soft, golden blond with a slightly messy yet elegant style. It is medium length, with longer strands flowing down and a braid running along one side, giving him a windswept, adventurous look. The golden hue of my hair shines warmly, complementing his overall radiant aesthetic. My eyes are a deep amber-gold, glowing with determination and calmness, with a face being youthful and refined, with smooth, delicate features. I shot an expression that carries a subtle confidence, paired with a faint, knowing smile, and shocked that I can mimick aether's expression so similarly and easily.

My outfit was just like in the game, being a fantasy-style adventurer's attire. The base is a dark, sleeveless tunic with intricate detailing and metallic accents. The chest area glows faintly with constellation-like patterns, as if stars are embedded within him. My right arm has a black strap wrapping around it, while his left arm is covered with a white sleeve adorned with golden designs, resembling sacred or celestial motifs. A long, flowing cape with gold edges drapes behind him, adding to his heroic and majestic aura. And finally, my pants are dark and fitted, decorated with geometric patterns and a golden belt buckle, completing his adventurer-warrior look.

"This is insane" - I thought to myself, staring at the lake's reflection of my features, and staring for far longer than i was supposed to.

Then i hear a notification indicating that my "Sages" where at work

[Unique skill "Great Sage"]: "Analysis of environmental mana density complete. Atmospheric element ratio consistent with Wind-aligned Leyline activity."

[Unique Skill "World Sage"]: "Additional data collected: Location—Cape Oath, Mondstadt coastal territory. Nearby anomalies detected in aquatic lifeforms."

Aether smiled faintly. "Looks like you two are already hard at work."

But despite having the guidance of Great Sage and World Sage, something felt… missing.

"I may have infinite data collector, AND a supercomputer to process the data that been collected, but it doesn't feel right doing this journey alone. The Traveler in the original timeline had someone by his side…"

He looked down at the water. Memories—no, fragments of knowledge drawn from World Sage's database—flickered in his mind: a small floating companion, nearly drowning before being rescued.

"Paimon…"

He chuckled softly. "Alright then. Let's see if fate wants us to meet again."

Aether raised his right hand. Magicules began to flow around his arm in threads of silver and blue light.

"Trace… On."

Within his mind, Great Sage synchronized with his Maker skill. Together, they formed the structure of the tool he needed.

[Great Sage]: "Material design selected: Mythril composite. Reinforcement: wind-infused fiber string. Durability—Limitless."[Maker]: "Converting magicules into physical form… complete."

Before him materialized a gleaming fishing rod, radiating a faint azure glow.

"Now then, let's see if destiny bites."

He cast the line into the still waters of the pond, watching the float dance lightly on the surface. Minutes passed. The breeze grew gentle, the sound of rustling grass filling the air.

Then—

A violent tug.

"Whoa—!"

The rod bent sharply. Whatever was on the other end was alive. He pulled, magicules flowing through his limbs as wind gathered around him, assisting his strength. The surface erupted in a splash of water—

—and out came a small, white-haired creature sputtering and flailing.

"Paimon's drowning! Paimon's drowning—ack!"

Aether dropped the rod, dashing forward and catching her mid-air.

The little being coughed up a few bubbles of water, blinking her big eyes up at him.

"Paimon… is saved?!"

Aether smiled gently. "Yep. You almost became fish food there."

"Paimon wasn't fish food! Paimon was just… taking a nap underwater!"

He couldn't help but laugh softly at that, setting her on a nearby rock to dry off.

"Name's Aether. I'm… a traveler, new to this world."

"Aether, huh? Hmmm… you don't look like you're from around here! But Paimon will forgive you for that since you saved Paimon's life!"

"Then I'll take it as a sign. Want to be my guide?"

Paimon floated in a little circle, placing her hands on her hips proudly.

"You bet! Paimon's the best guide in all of Teyvat! You won't regret it!"

Aether smiled. "Glad to have you, Paimon."

The voice of World Sage chimed quietly in his mind:

[World Sage]: "Companion acquired: Paimon. Potential synchronization as secondary information relay detected."

"Perfect," he thought. "Now this really feels like the start of an adventure."

Now, in terms of a guide, I had asked for "World Sage" that can give me regional data, and map information about the nation I would be visiting to every time i place my hand on the statue of the seven, it will record/memorise and give me visual mental image about the nations landscape, like the maps layout that is given to you in Genshin after unlocking a waypoint from the leylines, so in terms of guide, with both "World Sage" for gathering the regional data from the statues of the seven like in the game, "Great Sage" for processing, managing the information being feed from the second skill, and finally my travel compaion "Paimon", I think I can manage even with my way/path and journey around Teyvat's regions.

"Proposal: A significant concentration of Anemo energy is detected to the north. High probability of it being a Statue of The Seven. Synchronization is recommended to begin environmental adaptation and unlock foundational abilities."

"Right," Aether murmured, his voice his own, yet unfamiliar. "Let's get started."

"Huhhh" Piamon says floating around him - "Who are you talking too?"

"Nothing, its just your imagination", I said to her. Then I thought to myself, "Damn, i feel like i'm sounding like "Lord of Wisdom - Raphael" to rimuru tempest when the AI says something that rimuru didnt hear and makes him forget about it"

Now that I think about it, I'll have to deal with that issue when my "Great Sage" skill evolves into the Ultimate skill with an attitude, after I'm done conquering some Labyrinth's that I made in my final wish as a method for my skill evolution. But that's an issue i can resolve with later.

They moved with a purpose that the original Aether hadn't possessed, his steps sure and swift. The journey through the whispering grasslands and up the gentle slope felt trivial.

They climbed the stonewalls and cliff obstacles like in the begining of the tutorial of the game for new players, but is still shocked that he was in genshin impact world, this world was teaming with different visions from unique individuals, as well as different locations and mysteries that are needed to be solved.

Taking in the winds of Mondstat, it was a nice breeze that constantly blowing over my now blonde hair, I was still thinking about how I should approach my situations in the future, with Influential leaders like "Jean", "Ningguang", and "Kamisato Ayato", or people who I know will be suspicious about my abilities, like "Kaeya" mondstat Calvary captain who has a sharp mind with situation like this. I would need to rely on my "Great Sage" skill to be able to formulate excesses, to hide my powers, since I'm classified as an outlander in the game.

Whilst I was trudging through the woods, I was also thinking about how I should be approaching future missions or commission later on, realizing that If I were to make friends with everyone like I did in the game, Then I would need to be there for them in order to get closer to them. But also at the same time, I want to make it clear to everybody that I'm busy and that I have my own plans that take first priority, compared to helping them sometimes.

This is because compared to aether in the game, as great of a character that I admired him to be, there was one flaw that he had, he was too nice, (not saying its a bad thing), to the point where people would often take advantage of his abilities and skills and the power to get the task done, In fact I remember readinng some fanfiction and fanart in my world about aether being overworked and burnt out from the constant quests after quests that took a tool on him and his mind, I dont want to risk my mental health for that.

So the difference between me and aether is that I will willingly say "No" to a situation that would take too much time of my time. I'd rather spend them working on my OP skills then do a chores like a child running around doing these works whilst they could get somebody else to do it. But also, I dont want to end up mental exhausted from a tired day. And if I genuinely want to help anyone, I will, but It will be from my own choice, because compared to the original aether, I will make it clear that I'm a busy person with my own planes, instead of helping them out freely like he did in the game.

After making the decision, I continued walking

Soon, after 30 minutes of walking, I see the view of the statue came into view, making my way to Starfell Lake, a serene stone figure with its hand outstretched, a teal orb of Anemo energy pulsing gently in its palm.

My expression grew serious. "Then it's time to try my fourth wish." I thought

I didn't hesitate. Reaching out, I placed my hand on the cool, ancient stone.

The effect was instantaneous and overwhelming. A torrent of pure, unadulterated wind energy flooded into him, far more potent than he had expected from the game. It wasn't just a key unlocking a single element; it was a dam breaking, and four distinct rivers of power were pouring into the reservoir of his soul.

[Synchronization Initiated: Anemo Element.]

[Harmonization Skill Active. Adapting host to elemental influx.]

[Unique Skill 'Great Sage' is analyzing energy signatures and cross-referencing with multiversal archives…]

Aether gasped, his vision whiting out. He felt his body become as light as a feather, the very air around him singing a song only he could hear.

[Anemo Element Acquired.]

[Now processing subsidiary elemental systems…]

1) NARUTOVERSE - WIND NATURE CHAKRA:

A sharp, cutting sensation filled his chakra pathways—a network he now realized was fully formed and waiting. He felt the chakra in his core shift, its nature transforming, becoming keen, swift, and capable of both gentle caresses and devastating cuts. Knowledge of hand signs for techniques like Fūton: Rasengan and Fūton: Daitoppa (Great Breakthrough) appeared in his mind, not as learned skills, but as innate truths.

[Wind Release Chakra Nature Affinity: Acquired.]

[Archive Updated: All known Wind Release Jutsu from the Naruto Universe have been cataloged. Proficiency will scale with user's chakra control and practice.]

2) TENSURAVERSE - WIND MANIPULATION:

This was different. It wasn't about internal energy conversion, but about commanding the air itself through will and magicules. He felt the authority to [Control Wind], to [Create Storm], to shape atmospheric pressure. It was a fundamental, almost bureaucratic control over the very laws of airflow and weather in his immediate vicinity.

[Wind Skill 'Wind Manipulation': Acquired.]

[Effect: Allows for direct control of atmospheric phenomena. Can be combined with Magicule Battery for large-scale effects.]

3) AVATARVERSE - AIRBENDING AFFINITY:

A more spiritual, fluid power settled into him. It was about harmony, freedom, and the flow of energy. He felt the push and pull of the air, the potential for incredible mobility with the Air Scooter, the defensive power of a swirling vortex, and the sub-skills like flight and the devastating, but possible, vacuum bending. It was a martial art woven into the fabric of reality.

[Airbending: Acquired.]

[Note: User possesses the potential for all Air Nomad sub-skills, including but not limited to: Flight, Astral Projection, and Spiritual Projection.]

4) BLACK CLOVERVERSE - WIND MAGIC:

A surge of structured, spell-like knowledge flooded his mind. Great Sage was acting as a super-grimoire, downloading the entire known arsenal of Yuno Grinberryall. He could feel the formulae for Wind Magic: Boreas, Spirit of Zephyr, Spirit Storm, and Sylph's Breath etching themselves into his consciousness. The magic didn't require a grimoire to cast; it required intent, mana—or in his case, magicules—and the mental command to execute the pre-analyzed spell.

[Wind Magic (Black Clover System): Acquired.]

[Archive Updated: Yuno's Wind Magic Spell Library has been fully integrated. 'Great Sage' will handle incantation annulment and mana shaping for optimal efficiency.]

The storm of information and power subsided as quickly as it had begun. Aether stood, panting slightly, his hand still on the statue. A soft, teal Anemo symbol glowed briefly on the back of his glove before fading. But the change within him was permanent.

He opened his eyes and looked at his palm. With a thought, a miniature, swirling vortex of wind appeared above it, humming with power.

"Analysis Complete. Synchronization successful. All four subsidiary wind-based systems have been integrated and harmonized with the core Anemo element. The 'Polymath' skill is accelerating proficiency. Recommendation: Begin practical field testing to develop muscle memory and combat application."

Aether grinned, a wide, exhilarated smile. He wasn't just the Outlander who could use Anemo. He was the confluence of winds. He could throw a Rasengan, summon a Spirit of Zephyr, ride an air scooter, and command a localized storm, all at once if he wished.

He looked towards the distant city of Mondstadt, the City of Freedom. A certain emergency food was probably about to pop out of the lake any second now. But for this moment, he was alone with the wind—and for the first time since arriving, he felt truly, powerfully free.

The ground shook. A group of Hilichurls, drawn by the eruption of energy, rushed from the treeline—primitive weapons raised.

He grinned. Perfect chance to test everything.

The first Hilichurl lunged. He extended his hand, gathering chakra, and whispered:

"Wind Release: Vacuum Palm."

The Hilichurl was blasted off its feet, sent tumbling across the grass.

From above, he unleashed Yuno's Tornado Fang, swallowing the last two Hilichurls in a spiraling gale. They scattered like leaves in a hurricane.

Silence fell. Only the soft whistle of the winds remained.

Paimon's jaw dropped.

Paimon: "Whoa! That wasn't just Anemo—it felt way stronger! Like you were using a dozen powers at once!"

Aether smirked. "And this is only the beginning."

After the battle, My hands lingered on the statue, more energy pulsed outward. The land itself answered. In the distance, glowing pillars of light ignited—Waypoints.

I felt an instinctive connection to them, a tugging thread within his soul. A map unfolded in his mind, marking each one like stars in a constellation.

At the same time, another voice chimed in—deeper, resonant, and ancient.

[World Sage]: "Geographical Map Layout unlocked. Data assimilation commencing. Current Region: Mondstadt. Processing historical archives, cultural records, and leyline flows."

In my mind's eye, an expansive 3D map of Mondstadt rendered itself—mountains, rivers, dungeons, cities, and leyline hotspots. He even saw notes blinking with details:

Best Blacksmiths: Wagner's Forge, Mondstadt City.

Statues of the Seven: 6 remaining in this region.

Dandelion Wine Festival: Annual tradition, Mondstadt Plaza.

[World Sage]: "Knowledge of the land stored. Integration with Great Sage complete. User now possesses optimal navigation capacity."[Great Sage]: "Confirmed. All geographical data now accessible for efficient route planning and tactical analysis."

It was more than a map. It was an archive—history, culture, and even myths converted into navigable data

With the Waypoints unlocked and the World Sage–Great Sage combo guiding him, as well as a new physical companion for my journey, I now possessed the perfect navigation system. I knew where blacksmiths, shops, leyline anomalies, and even hidden ruins were. I clenched his fist. "This world is vast. And with these powers… I'll master every corner of it."

The wind picked up, almost as if Barbatos himself approved.

Paimon floated closer, puffing up proudly.

"Then let's go, Partner! Adventure awaits!"

And with the map of Mondstadt blazing in his mind, the Infinite Traveler took his first step toward a legend that would shake Teyvat to its core.

The journey to find Lumine was still ahead, a path fraught with gods and ancient secrets. But now, as the winds of four worlds swirled obediently at his fingertips, Aether knew one thing for certain.

He was no longer just a traveller. He was a storm waiting to be unleashed.
