Chapter 10 - 536. This Is My Biggest Secret

Lu Sheng was probably one of the last to disembark from the spaceship. When he came out, there were already many people standing outside of the wreck. Each of them was at least level 11, and there were even more level 12 people.

Sheng had previously thought that his aura was too strong and attracted attention, so he deliberately restrained himself outside. Now, he suddenly realized he was being unreasonable. These guys were far more arrogant than him. With their auras fully unleashed, they were like torches, forcefully illuminating this dim void.

Among them, a young man with orange hair was the most eye-catching. Countless pale yellow light spots surrounded him, looking like a dancing nebulae. It was the young man living in the room next to his. The powerful aura released by this guy pushed everyone around him far away, forming a small vacuum zone.

This attracted a lot of attention and apprehension. He seemed to want this effect precisely; his face was filled with arrogance and unbridled swagger, his orange hair seemingly ablaze. He was probably the most outstanding genius in a star sector, or even several star sectors.

Sheng secretly compared him to Monroe, realizing that this person's strength might even be slightly greater than Monroe's.

"This guy's name is Sarl, a super genius that appears once every 100,000 years in the Polo star region. He looks arrogant, right? I think he looks exactly like an angry turkey." A voice reached Sheng's ears. He turned his head and saw the handsome young man named Saya, the only person that he talked to on the spaceship during the jouney.

Sheng glanced at him and said indifferently, "He looks like a genius."

Saya curled his lip and snorted, "What good is being a genius? The battlefield is full of geniuses. Only those who can survive there are true geniuses. This guy is so arrogant, he'll definitely be a target for alien beasts. I bet he won't last long."

Sheng sensed a hint of resentment and bitterness in his words, and remembering that Saya had mentioned being from the Polo star region during his introduction, he couldn't help but ask, "You have a grudge against him?"

"Uh, you could say yes."

Saya's eyes flickered, seemingly reluctant to discuss it, perhaps touching a raw nerve. Sheng didn't press further, but Saya was a natural big mouth. Seeing Sheng shut his mouth, seemingly uninterested in continuing the conversation, he couldn't help but say, "Actually, he beat me up before. That was so embarrassing. It's my biggest secret, I haven't told anyone on this spaceship. I only told you because you're a friend, so please don't tell anyone else."

"Okay." Sheng just nodded.

Then someone approached. This man was built like a tank, his entire body seemingly hewn from solid black stone. With every movement, fine stone dust trickled down from him, as if he were a living rock spirit. Clearly, he belonged to another race from outer space, and he was level 12.

This person grabbed Saya's shoulder, pointed at orange-haired Sarl in the crowd, and shouted, "Hey Saya, isn't this the guy who beat you up?"

"Shut up! Damn it! Do you want everyone to know?" Saya's face immediately changed, and he hurriedly tried to cover the man's mouth.

The stone man realized, quickly shut his mouth, and then lowered his voice, saying, "Sorry, sorry, I forgot. This is your biggest secret. Only I know it on this spaceship."

Sheng watched speechlessly.

Wasn't it supposed to be your biggest secret? Wasn't I the only one on the entire spaceship who was told it? So, Saya tells everyone this. And that stone man, he looks a little dim-witted too. These two are a perfect match; no wonder they became friends so quickly.

Sheng couldn't help but sigh inwardly: What did he do to deserve running into two such clowns right off the bat?

The stone man had noticed Lu Sheng's presence and asked Saya curiously, "Saya, is this your friend?"

"Yes. He is..."

Saya was about to introduce the stone man and Lu Sheng when a voice drew their attention.

"Shut up, both of you!"

"Boom!"

With a deafening roar, the crashed spaceship's hatch burst open, and two figures emerged, a tall woman and a short man. Sheng narrowed his eyes slightly, recognizing the stern-faced woman who had verified his identity upon boarding. The other was a round-faced, smiling, and rather amiable-looking man.

Their appearance immediately silenced the commotion. In fact, there hadn't been much noise. Most people had been staying alone in their rooms lately, except for oddballs like Saya who had be wandering all over the spaceship. And the others were not much more talkative now.

The cold woman's shout of "Shut up!" was mostly directed at Saya and the stone man. Those two were unusually well-behaved now, keeping their mouths shut and not daring to utter a single word.

Sheng noticed something about the stone man: when he wasn't speaking, you couldn't even see his mouth. If he closed his eyes too, it would truly look like a stone. The diversity of the universe is truly wondrous.

"Now, you have officially stepped into the interdimensional battlefield..."

The woman's first words caused a stir among the people below. A commotion arose within the formation.

Is this the battlefield?

Sheng's eyes flickered slightly as he took a moment to scan his surroundings. What he saw was still nothingness. Only occasionally, asteroids resembling the one they were currently on—the one that had caused their spaceship to crash—could be found within this nothingness. Apart from that, there were no planets or stars, giving it a desolate and lifeless feel.

Sheng sensed it briefly and discovered that the natural cosmic energy here was actually denser than in the previous starry sky.

"If I cultivate here, my cultivation speed could probably increase by two to three times," Lu Sheng thought to himself.

He wasn't the only one who noticed this; everyone present was at least a level 11 martial arts expert, and many of their eyes lit up after sensing the peculiarities of the battlefield. But at this moment, the cold-faced woman jumped out to pour cold water on everyone's hopes.

"Don't be too happy yet," she sneered. "There are indeed many benefits here, and what you're experiencing now is only a small part of them. However, danger also exists."

Her voice suddenly turned sinister.

"From now on, you will be at risk of being attacked by terrifying beasts of level 12, 13, or even 14. At any time. If you're unlucky, you'll just have to die here."

Although the woman's words were frightening, the people below were all powerful figures or prodigies from their respective star regions. How could they be intimidated by a few words? The vast majority remained unfazed.

However, one person spoke up and asked, "Sir... doesn't our human race have any bases in this battlefield?"

Many others shared the same question. They all looked at the stern woman.

Are they're allowed to "move freely"? Does the human race have no organization or base of operations on this battlefield?
