"Forget it. Let's go" He says still watching the window for a bit longer, before diverting his gaze, With no expression Lustre turns around away from the window heading towards the living room.
About an Hour later
Riel gets into the car they reach a well furnished mansion although not as big as that of the estate
Alex gets out of the car, walking into the mansion,
"You can come out now" he says his back turned against Riel as he walks in, still starstruck, she comes out of the car, awing at the decor before her.
She follows suit trailing slowly behind Alex.
they walk through the halls the dim lights leading their path, it was only a tad bit lighter than the ones that was at the estate with an even better decor but yet she couldn't help comparing them and felt it lacked something
As they enter into the mansion, a maid greets them at the door.
"Young master welcome home" she says, stretching out her hand to take his coat.
The lady looked like she was in her in her late thirties about to enter that of her forties, her silver hair lighting dimly under the golden glow of the power light.
Her attention turns to Riel as she turned to thee door, her facial expression as one that is surprised.
Riel tenses up feeling uncomfortable at the attention being given to her, the stare made her feel the type of discomfort you'd only have when your pants are sweaty and the air conditioner is broken not knowing if it's the heat or something else
Noticing this, the lady lets out a low chuckle as her index finger curves above her lips as she excuses herself for being in their presence.
"Welcome miss" she says her lips curved in amusement. Riel couldn't tell if she was being mocked or not, but not wanting to seem rude she nodded in response.
"She won't be staying long for long." Alex says as he hands her his coat, while dragging down his tie as he walked towards the living room "Get us some snacks." he says as walks further and further.
The maid bows and nod her head walking in the opposite direction.
Riel pauses watching the maid as she walks further until her image vanished in the distance.
A nagging strange feeling tugging at somewhere, she wasn't sure if it was the caution her mind and instincts were screaming at her or the lunch she had before the estate anyway she thought of it the stranger it felt, and either one did not leave a good after taste in her mouth or her guts,
"Not coming?" Alex asked as he pauses "I thought you needed to talk about something?" he says opening the door to the living room.
Hearing this, Riel bows her head in thought of whether she was doing the right thing at the moment, while Alex watched from a distance side eyed before heading into the room.
Seated on a chair, Alex crosses on leg over the other, his hand placed over his laps while clasped as he looks at Riel who had followed him into the room.
She sits away from him but opposite, enough for them to look each other in the eye, Her eyes glazes over the place still in awe at how elegant the mansion seemed
"You look around like you haven't seen one much better." Alex says as picks the cup of black tea placed before him by a maid, sipping it gently "Surely, my brothers mansion is far bigger and better designed than this one" he says almost as though he was boasting of it.
"This guy!!!" Riel thought to herself almost annoyed by the statement.
"So, what was it that you needed my help for?" he asks, placing the tea cup back on the saucer, hearing the question Riel gulps down her body stiff as she looks at him.
"You said something about Lethaniel going missing" he says, his face leaning on his hand as he looked at her sarcastically.
"Yeah, both of them."
"Both?"
"Yes, both" replying to him she looks at Alex who now seemed confused at what she was saying and was looking at her with, practically questioning if she was sane.
"What?" she asks feeling awkward
"Nothing, so like I asked how do you plan on finding him..... sorry i mean them" he says looking her in the eye as he intertwines his fingers with his leg crossed across the other
"I don't have one, at least not yet... I just have to find some leads" She says her expression going dry with worry
Silence fills the room, the both pondering at what to do and the next possible steps to take
"If I were the kid I'd probably run to the safest place I'd take as home or at least somewhere that feel like it" he says picking up the cup and sipping from it again
"But were already at h-ome, ..... That's it i know where to find them!!!" she says, her excitement leading her on as she stand up, The sound of her heels cluttering through the hall way with expectations
Alex still seated behind watches as she leaves "At least one of us is happy" he says taking another" his thoughts wondering back to the words he had just said
"Home?" he mumbles thoughts coming through like a river at the mention of that word and then followed by a low chuckle, one that could probably be made by a broken empty vessel that all its water had leaked
He dropped the cup in his hand placing it across the table, his mind elsewhere as his body moves through the halls his steps as shallow and mellow as the dim fancy light place at the corridor passage way, he walks out his head raising at the sound of an excited riel urging him to come
