Chapter 20 - My bastard husband is dead.

After that,

William stepped outside without saying a word.

He made the critical decision to contact his lawyer, instructing him to transfer all of his assets to Ella, his illegitimate wife.

This included closing his accounts and changing passwords, ensuring that all his financial matters were redirected solely to her name.

After completing these arrangements, he went to bed.

The following morning, Nancy attempted to withdraw money but was met with a shocking surprise her card was declined.

She sensed something was amiss, especially considering William's unusual behavior the previous night.

For the past month, Nancy had been covertly drugging him, but this time she had increased the dosage from three drops to seven of the medication known to induce rapid heart rates and panic attacks.

Meanwhile, she headed to the company with a sense of purpose, hoping for a victorious day ahead so that she could put her worries to rest.

I was also preparing for a hospital check-up, excited to find out the sex of my twins, of which Bon was expected to be a part.

If he dared to miss this appointment, she vowed never to see him again.

Not long after, Bon arrived to pick her up.

As they walked hand in hand to his car,we were both happy.

After a joyful visit to the hospital where we discovered we were expecting a baby girl instead of a boy, the atmosphere was imbued with happiness and gratitude.

I was thanking God for our blessing as we stepped outside.

Suddenly, we witnessed William being rushed into the emergency room.

He was visibly struggling to breathe, and panic surged within me.

I approached the medical staff to inquire about his condition, and they informed me that he was experiencing a panic attack.

This revelation struck me with disbelief, William had never exhibited such issues before.

Sensing that something was seriously wrong, I decided to stay behind while I urged Bon to go ahead without me.

I wanted to be there for William, to understand everything.

Initially, the nurses wouldn't allow me to enter his room.

However, after a tense wait of nearly twenty minutes, one of the nurses emerged to inform me that William wanted to speak with me.

Upon entering, I found him looking pale and weak.

Though he struggled to communicate, he implored me for forgiveness.

William expressed deep regret for leaving everything in my hands and stressed that I should prevent Nancy from accessing anything.

His words puzzled me, especially as he alluded to the location of his "treasure" and mentioned his lawyer having important documents.

In a stunning confession, he revealed that he had a daughter nearby.

Just as he was about to share her name, he collapsed.

The doctors hurriedly pulled me away, attempting to revive him, but it was tragically too late.

He had passed away.

Overwhelmed with grief, I broke down in tears.

She burst into the room, shouting and crying, almost on the verge of fainting, desperately trying to convince us of her deep love for him.

I saw through the theatrics and remained unmoved.

After a while, she approached me, asking, "Did you forgive him before he died?"

Caught off guard, I replied, "Why do you ask that?"

"Because he lied to you throughout your marriage. You're not barren; he was the one who had dissection . He deceived you. So, tell me, did you forgive him?" she pressed.

I was taken aback.

I had never imagined he could lie about such a crucial matter.

He was the one who had constantly insulted me, labeling me a failure and referring to me as a "billionaire barren wife" who couldn't bear children.

Gathering my strength, I finally said, "It hurts less now, because I'm pregnant."

"What?" she gasped, her eyes widening.

"His child, or…" she trailed off, stunned.
