The Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki vanished from their positions simultaneously. In the blink of an eye, they appeared on opposite sides of Yuto, sealing him in completely.
"Don't worry — we'll leave a handful of survivors as seeds and let them breed for another thousand years."
Hamura Ōtsutsuki's expressionless face twisted into a cold sneer as he stared at Yuto.
His tone made it sound as though this was some tremendous act of mercy!
Yuto's fists clenched until his knuckles cracked. Killing intent blazed within him like a towering inferno. He drew in a deep breath, then slowly exhaled.
There were still a few things he didn't understand, but he could barely hold back any longer!
"Done talking?"
"Then how do you two want to die?"
Yuto cracked his knuckles, his voice colder than ice.
The Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki both paused, clearly not expecting Yuto to speak such big words in the face of certain death.
Was he so enraged he'd lost his mind? Or had he simply gone mad?
In their eyes, Yuto's strength was on roughly the same level as Uchiha Madara's!
One-on-one, taking him down would be somewhat difficult. But two against one? Yuto was dead for certain!
An aura of killing intent enveloped Yuto in an instant!
Just as both sides were about to strike—
An unexpected figure charged straight into the battlefield, howling with fury.
"You two traitors!"
"The God Tree belongs to Mother — and so does the Chakra Fruit!"
"You not only betrayed Mother, you dare steal the Chakra Fruit! Do you think devouring the fruit will make you true members of the Ōtsutsuki clan?!"
"Dream on!!"
Black Zetsu had, at some point, taken possession of Uchiha Obito's body, controlling him to shout these furious words.
The appearance of Black Zetsu and Uchiha Obito brought the about-to-erupt battle to a simultaneous halt.
At the word "Mother"!
The Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki both flashed with deep apprehension in their eyes — though they also looked puzzled at Black Zetsu.
Neither of them remembered their mother having any other children besides the two of them!
"No one can stop Mother's revival!"
Black Zetsu, controlling Uchiha Obito, used space-time ninjutsu to appear instantly beneath the God Tree.
By now, Uchiha Obito's left eye socket held Sasuke's Rinnegan.
Seeing this, the expressions of both the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki changed at once!
"No — stop him!"
The Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki shouted in unison, launching themselves into the air toward the God Tree.
"Where do you two think you're going?"
Yuto's cold voice rang out behind them.
The next moment!
Golden Tenseigan chakra erupted from Yuto's body, and a powerful gravitational force locked onto the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki, dragging them back!
"You damned swine! Do you know what you're doing?!"
"If you stop us, everyone dies!"
The Sage of Six Paths' face was filled with desperation. He turned and roared furiously at Yuto.
"Is that so? The legendary 'Goddess of the Rabbit' — I'd quite like to meet her!"
Yuto sneered as he spoke, continuously pouring out Tenseigan chakra to maintain the crushing gravitational pull.
With the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception as his trump card, who would die was far from certain!
With Yuto blocking them, Uchiha Obito had already reached the base of the God Tree, his hands forming seals at his chest.
"Six Paths — Ten-Tails Coffin Seal!"
The enormous God Tree was rapidly absorbed into Uchiha Obito's body!
Having done this, Black Zetsu's voice trembled with excitement.
Reviving Mother required two conditions: becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, and the Infinite Tsukuyomi!
The conditions for the Infinite Tsukuyomi weren't fully met, but it would be enough to rouse Mother from her slumber!
"Yin-Yang Release — Spirit Possession — Assimilation!"
Black Zetsu, controlling Uchiha Obito, let out a tremendous shout.
A woman's reflection suddenly appeared in the blood moon above. The next moment, an enormous torrent of ultra-dense chakra erupted from the ground beneath Uchiha Obito!
This hyper-dense chakra poured relentlessly into Uchiha Obito's body!
Under this transformation, Uchiha Obito's body expanded and warped, interspersed with his own agonized screams.
In the blink of an eye, an entirely new figure appeared before everyone!
Pale white skin, blue-white hair longer than her body, an expressionless yet delicate face bearing two eyes — Byakugan — and on her forehead, a single Rinne Sharingan!
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had been revived!!
The entire world seemed to fall utterly silent at the appearance of this figure!
An invisible pressure settled over everyone's hearts.
Below.
Yuto voluntarily stopped channeling his gravitational force. He glanced sideways at the now ashen-faced Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki, a flicker of amusement crossing his mind!
These two had been insufferably arrogant ever since they showed up. Now they looked like they'd been doused in cold water!
However!
Yuto looked toward Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and his heart sank. Her aura and chakra reserves were on an entirely different level from the other two.
By Yuto's perception, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's current chakra exceeded their own by more than tenfold!
"Hagoromo, Hamura…"
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki slowly raised her head, her expressionless gaze drifting toward the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki as she softly spoke their names.
"This is trouble, brother."
Hamura Ōtsutsuki's body was rigid with tension, his voice low and grim.
"I never imagined 'Mother' would have left a means of revival. It seems we have no choice but to seal her once more."
The Sage of Six Paths stared fixedly at Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, his voice hoarse.
Though he spoke the word "Mother," there was not a trace of emotion behind it — the word was nothing more than a hollow title.
"My two sons — it's time for you to return to my embrace."
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's ethereal voice reached everyone's ears.
The Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki both assumed combat stances, staring hard at Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.
"'Mother' — we sealed you once before, and we can seal you a second time."
The Sage of Six Paths spoke coldly.
"We've waited a thousand years to become a true divine clan! We will never merge back into you!"
Hamura Ōtsutsuki's voice was filled with cold emptiness.
Hearing their words, a look of sorrow and grief appeared on Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's otherwise expressionless face. Tears even welled in her eyes, though her expression remained otherwise unchanged.
Yet everyone could feel the overwhelming sadness radiating from Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.
Her emotions could influence the world itself?
Yuto's heart tightened. The conversation between them had completely overturned everything he knew from the original story. But precisely because of that, Yuto was even more confused!
To truly eliminate the threat, he needed to understand the full picture. Otherwise, he risked leaving a dangerous loose end — which was also why Yuto had been quietly holding the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception in reserve.
Before fully understanding the situation, putting himself at a disadvantage would make these lofty Ōtsutsuki more likely to reveal what was on their minds!
And rather than trying to piece it all together on his own, it was better to simply ask!
"So — what exactly is going on here?"
Yuto looked directly at Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and asked.
At this point, from the moment Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had appeared, the Sage of Six Paths and the others had subconsciously written Yuto off.
Compared to the threat of Mother, Yuto was clearly not worth a second thought!
As for Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, her attention had been fixed entirely on the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki. The others simply didn't register.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki obviously wouldn't answer Yuto's question — but Black Zetsu would!
Perhaps after a thousand years of skulking in the shadows of the ninja world, Black Zetsu finally felt he could appear in the open!
Or perhaps spending too long around White Zetsu had rubbed off on him, giving him a talkative streak!
Of course, the most important factor was that Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had been revived, and Black Zetsu didn't believe anyone in this world could stop her anymore.
And so!
Black Zetsu slithered out from Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's sleeve, coiling around one of her arms.
"Those two are traitors."
"Traitors who stole Mother's power."
Black Zetsu spoke viciously, glaring coldly at the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki, then continued in his somewhat talkative manner:
"Those two were born when Mother, feeling lonely, split off two portions of her own power to create offspring."
"But they betrayed the Mother who created them — not only plotting to steal her power, but actually sealing her away."
"So vile! You don't deserve to be part of the Ōtsutsuki clan."
Black Zetsu's voice seethed with fury and icy malice as he stared at the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki.
Yuto's eyes flickered slightly, a look of dawning realization crossing his face.
If that was the case, then some things made sense. Yuto had already been suspicious — Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was not from this planet.
Not only was she an alien, she possessed transcendent power. Every member of the Ōtsutsuki clan carried themselves as supremely superior.
In their eyes, the people of this planet were probably nothing more than lowly creatures. How could they possibly marry and have children with them?
Just as humans would never marry and breed with livestock!
Black Zetsu's words had given Yuto his answer — the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura Ōtsutsuki had been split off from Kaguya Ōtsutsuki herself.
But some of what Black Zetsu said might not be entirely true!
