The war for Sector 0 had turned into chaos.
Explosions thundered across the cracked plains, painting the gray skies with fire. The once-slumbering ruins of the Prime Rift Zone now echoed with the sound of battle — the screams of the oppressed, the roar of rebellion, and the metallic hum of the Null Walkers' war machines.
Seraphin stood at the frontlines, her armor splattered with ash and oil. The Celest Spear in her hand glowed faintly with fading energy, the tip sparking each time she swung it through a Null drone. Around her, the warriors of the Riots Hub fought desperately, bodies falling beside her, yet no one retreated.
The battlefield stretched like a nightmare tapestry — crimson dust rising under the feet of rebels clashing against the disciplined formations of the Null Walkers. Their silver armor gleamed under the burning sky, emotionless and relentless. Each strike from their plasma sabers carried mechanical precision, forcing the rebels to give up ground inch by inch.
"Keep pushing!" Seraphin shouted, parrying a blow from a Null captain. "Sector 0's heart lies just beyond the ridge!"
Elio leading a group with atomic blasters shooting in the arsenals of the solders
Raya, fighting beside her, slammed her gauntlet into the ground, sending out a shockwave that tossed three enemies into the air. "We can't hold much longer, Seraphin! They keep respawning from the eastern gate!"
Seraphin gritted her teeth, sweat dripping down her cheek. Her spear spun in a wide arc, slicing through another attacker. The wind howled with the energy of her Chrono aura, but her limbs were heavy.
Then it happened.
A Null soldier crept from behind — blade raised, aimed straight at her unguarded back. Time seemed to slow. Seraphin, exhausted and distracted, didn't even turn in time. The air split with a metallic hiss.
And then — BOOM.
A surge of blinding light erupted from the distance. The ground trembled violently, throwing both soldiers and rebels off balance. A wave of invisible energy rippled across the battlefield — dense, pulsating, and suffocating.
One by one, the Null Walkers' mechanical joints screeched, their systems freezing under an immense pressure. The sky seemed to twist — a vortex of light swirling at the edge of the horizon.
The aura that followed was alive.
Time itself bent for a second — as though the Chronoverse recognized the return of something ancient, something powerful.
Seraphin slowly turned her head. Dust swirled around a lone figure walking toward them through the fire and smoke.
His footsteps echoed — calm, heavy, deliberate.
Ron!... it was Ron!!.
His eyes burned with determination, his expression cold as iron. The Chronox on his wrist pulsed like a heart, flooding the air with shimmering particles of light. The aura surrounding him — known as Chrono Flux — bent the world around him, warping the light and pulling everything into his gravitational field of power.
"...Ron," Seraphin whispered in disbelief.
Her heart beated fast... she had never experienced something like that
Seems like her memories were sparking
His presence was overwhelming. Each step he took crushed the ground beneath him, his body wrapped in energy that shimmered like liquid mercury. His once simple clothes were replaced by black and silver combat attire — the one Azel left for him — its lines glowing faintly with chrono runes that moved like living symbols.
But it wasn't just his outfit that had changed.
Both of his arms — not just one — now gleamed with futuristic steel, engraved with intricate gears and light veins of blue chronium. The mechanical plating moved like muscle, synchronized with his heartbeat. The Chronox energy coursed through them, radiating a low hum that filled the entire battlefield.
The Null soldiers froze as his aura washed over them. Several even dropped to their knees, unable to withstand the crushing pressure of the Chrono Flux. The Riots Hub fighters looked on in stunned silence.
Ron stopped, raising one glowing arm toward the enemies. "You hurt them… You enslaved them… You thought you could erase their time." His voice was calm but edged with fury. "Now feel the wrath of time itself."
He clenched his fist.
The Chronox on his wrist flared, releasing a shockwave that burst through the ranks of the Null Walkers. The wave folded time around itself, twisting it into a spiraling vortex. Enemies caught within were frozen mid-air — suspended like puppets in the threads of a shattered second.
With a flick of his arm, Ron shattered the vortex — the suspended enemies disintegrating into chrono fragments that faded into dust.
The battlefield erupted with cries of awe.
"Is that… Ron!? The one you had talked about?! WOW! he is awesome!! " Raya gasped, shielding her eyes from the light. "He looks—"
"—like he's become something else," Seraphin finished softly, lowering her spear as tears glimmered in her eyes.
Elio added " Looks like we got some great fire power in our side too !"
Ron landed beside Seraphin, the ground cracking under the force of his arrival. "Seraphin… I'm sorry I was late."
Seraphin was feeling some strange feeling inside her heart
Not sure what was that and why she felt glad that Ron was alive.
She shook her head, smiling faintly even through the chaos. "You came back. That's what matters" she said with a soft blush in her face hiding it from Ron .
But before they could speak more, alarms blared from the sky. Reinforcements — an entire platoon of Null Walkers — were arriving, their ships darkening the horizon.
Ron turned his gaze upward, eyes glowing with Chrono Flux. "Let them come."
He raised both hands, crossing them as Chronox energy surged between his palms. A massive, rotating glyph appeared above him — a Chrono Seal, engraved with the sigil of temporal balance. The sky shimmered as he unleashed his next technique.
"Temporal Overdrive!"
The seal pulsed — and then detonated into hundreds of beams of pure time energy. The sky rained silver fire as the beams tore through enemy ships, shattering their hulls and causing explosions that rippled across the horizon.
The Riots Hub soldiers cheered, voices echoing through the smoke. For the first time, the slaves saw hope. They dropped their chains and ran toward the rebels, joining the uprising with whatever weapons they could grab.
Seraphin raised her spear high. "Push forward! We end this today!"
The rebellion surged once more, driven by Ron's arrival. The ground shook with the march of freedom.
But far away, deep inside the Prime Rift Castle, Sedrick sat on his throne, watching everything through his holographic screens. His sharp eyes narrowed as he saw Ron's Chrono Flux tearing through his army.
"So," he murmured, his tone dangerously calm, "the Chronox awakens again."
He stood slowly, his long black coat trailing behind him. Behind the throne, a faint glow illuminated the massive crystalline construct — the Greenwich Core. Its fractured surface pulsed like a dying heart, struggling to maintain temporal stability in the region.
Sedrick placed his hand on the glass-like surface of the Core. The energy flared red, responding to his touch.
"Chrono Flux, Heart Code, rebellion… It all leads back to him," he said softly. "Then it's time I ended this personally."
The castle trembled. His eyes glowed faintly crimson as the Core's energy surged through him.
Back on the battlefield, Ron's aura dimmed slightly as the Chrono Flux cooled, the energy ebbing like the tide. He exhaled heavily, sweat running down his face. Seraphin glanced at him. "You okay?"
"Yeah," he said, nodding. "But something tells me this isn't over yet."
Above them, the clouds began to twist — the sky itself darkening under an unseen force.
Somewhere beyond the horizon, Sedrick was coming.
The real battle for time had only just begun.
To be continued…
