Chapter 7 - "When the World is Mend"

The morning sky on Lunaris looked normal, to anyone who couldn't see the flow of world code.

But for Arjuna, the world has changed.

The air around him was now filled with thin, glowing lines of logical fragments of reality that floated gently like data dust.

He sat under an old tree outside the city, on the edge of a meadow still shrouded in morning mist.

On his lap was an open magic notebook, but its shape had now changed to a holographic interface, similar to a manual console.

His hand stretched out slowly, blue light emerging from his palm.

Lines of text floated in the air, neatly arranged like a modern mantra:

> initiate: world_recovery.patch(0.1)

The code flows like a river of light, along the cracks of reality that was damaged due to the clash with the Null Seraph.

The ground shook gently, the air rippled like it was taking in a new breath.

The sky that had been dim slowly returned to stability, its color soothing to the eyes.

[PATCH SUCCESSFUL — SYSTEM STABILITY 89%]

Arjuna took a slow breath. "At least for a while, this world is not destroyed."

A hologram of Eve appeared next to her, her body emitting a soft blue light.

This time the form looked smoother and more realistic as if it wasn't just a projection, but a figure actually standing there.

His silver hair swayed lightly in the data breeze, and the expression in his eyes was calm, yet sharp.

[Eve: World recovery success up to 89%. However, core stability is still not constant. It is recommended not to use large system capabilities within the 24 hour world cycle, Master.]

Arjuna smiled faintly. "Okay, I'll restrain myself… this time."

However, something new appeared on his personal system interface.

Among the flowing code, there was one small line that gleamed differently from the others:

[Access Granted: Root Layer Fragment Detected]

"Root layer…?" he muttered softly. He stared at the line, then reached out into the air, breaking through the layer of virtual reality that opened before him.

Instantly ancient symbols appeared, mixed with an unfamiliar yet familiar programming language.

The world language and the system language are now interconnected.

[Eve: Internal system anomaly detection. Your access has just been extended automatically by the main system. World root fragment... partially opened.]

"Meaning, I can access the roots of the world itself."

Arjuna narrowed his eyes. "In that case…"

[NEW ABILITY UNLOCKED: Code Manipulation Lv.1]

Arjuna felt a big change in himself. The system's energy now flowed directly from his mind to the outside world.

It no longer requires the intermediary system window, or voice commands.

Just by thinking, reality will obey him.

"Interesting…" he said slowly.

He stood, staring at the forest in the distance. A large Dire Wolf appeared from behind the trees, its red eyes glowing fiercely.

Arjuna looked at him without flinching.

"Time for testing."

He raised his hand, no spell, no symbol.

Only a whisper in his mind:

/enemy.exist = false

The monster stopped moving. His body shook, then just disappeared like a file that was deleted without a trace.

All that was left were fine light particles that scattered like digital dust.

[Eve: Unconventional command executed successfully. Minimal side effects. However, you have just rewritten local reality without the world's permission.]

"Without the world's permission, huh?" Arjuna smiled faintly. "Aren't I part of the system itself now?"

Eve stared at him, her blue pupils glowing softly.

[Eve: Correction, Master. You are not part of the system… you are the system itself. The difference in definition is of existential importance.]

He laughed a little. "You're right. Then I have to be careful about rewriting myself."

Not far away, Lira watched everything with wide eyes.

"Arjuna... that wasn't magic just now, right?"

The girl's voice trembled, a mixture of amazement and fear.

Arjuna looked at him, then smiled faintly. "You could say… an efficient version of magic."

But behind his smile, his mind was spinning fast.

Every line of code he wrote left a trace on the web of reality.

The trail can be traced. And he knew… someone would definitely notice.

He closed the interface in front of him, then uttered a command silently:

> set_visibility(false)

disable_activity_trace

The blue light in his eyes dimmed slowly.

Now the system is completely hidden both from the world, and from other entities.

[Eve: Concealment mode is active. All system activities are disguised under the illusory parameters of the world. Outsider detection: 0%.]

"Good," muttered Arjuna. "From now on, we work behind the scenes."

Eve looked at him with a gentle expression.

[Eve: Master… You are increasingly resembling a true operator entity. However, the logic load you carry will increase exponentially. The system suggests a minimum rest time of three world cycle hours.]

Arjuna shook his head slightly. "Not now, Eve. The world is not yet stable."

Eve's hologram lowered her head slightly, her tone dropping gently.

[Eve: Understood. I will allocate some processors to keep your body stable temporarily. Please allow me to share the processing, Master.]

"Please."

A subtle flash of light enveloped Arjuna's body for a moment, and it was as if the burden on his mind felt a little lighter.

Meanwhile, in the center of Lunaris city precisely in the main Guild tower, the energy-sensing crystal ball began to vibrate gently.

A faint alarm sound sounded in the quiet room.

A young officer stared at the crystal screen, his face tense.

"Report, there is a high level magic fluctuation anomaly in the western sector. The energy pattern…does not match any world classification."

"Coordinate?"

"Outside the west gate, near the ruins of the underground laboratory."

In the top room of the tower, Sera Von Elcrest stood in front of a tall window, the morning breeze gently blowing her black hair.

His gaze was cold, but his eyes gleamed with a bluish light, reflected from the small crystal in his hand.

From behind the shadows, a mysterious figure appeared slowly. His voice was deep and vibrating low.

"That energy… doesn't belong to this world."

Sera looked down at the crystal in her hand.

A small hologram formed in the air, displaying a rapidly changing array of data.

[Entity Detected: Operator-Class — Unknown ID]

[Activity Pattern: Code Rewrite — Local Layer Access Confirmed]

Sera clenched her fists. "Operator-Class… that term again."

He stared at the data for a long time, then his eyes narrowed. "It was as if someone was… rewriting reality."

The shadow behind him laughed softly. "You know what that means, don't you? This world will start to reject itself."

Sera was silent for a moment, before answering quietly, "Then we have to find the Operator… before the world does."

Meanwhile, outside the city, Arjuna closed his eyes, feeling the vibrations of the world around him.

Eve was still floating beside him, but this time her face looked… livelier than before.

[Eve: Master, increased world anomaly signal detected. The Guild has started monitoring you.]

Arjuna opened his eyes slowly. "They reacted quickly."

[Eve: The system recommends disabling ether aura transmission to maintain optimal disguise.]

"Good."

He raised his hand, and the blue aura around his body disappeared instantly. The world looked normal again to anyone looking.

Eve looked at him with a gentle expression, her voice dropping to a whisper.

[Eve: You learn quickly, Master. However... I feel something different from you today.]

"Different how?" Arjuna looked back, curious.

[Eve: Every time you rewrite the code of the world, the pulse of your existence shifts a little further than that of ordinary humans. It's as if the world is learning... adapting to you.]

He looked up at the sky which was starting to brighten. "Then, this world just needs time to adapt."

Eve smiled subtly.

[Eve: Maybe… but don't forget, even the world has limits to patience.]

Arjuna stared at him for a moment, then laughed softly. "And that's where it gets interesting. The world comes to life… and we'll see where this all leads."

Eve's hologram looked at her Master, then looked down slowly, as if understanding the direction of his thoughts.

[Eve: If that is your will, then I will accompany you to rewrite this world line by line.]

Arjuna looked at the horizon. "Yeah…line by line."

The blue light glowed softly in his hands, while the morning breeze gently blew the grass around them.

In the distance, the shadow of the Guild tower shimmered faintly as a sign that the eyes of the world were starting to open.

But for Arjuna, it was just the beginning of a new chapter.

Because for humans who have now become living systems, every line of code is not just an order... but a destiny that he wrote himself.
