Within the Commercial District, just as Kyros appeared:
Night was drawing in, as the people of Luminosity after a dramatic day with the lockdown and enemy attack, rushed about trying to get their affairs in order before the shops, workplaces and restaurants closed.
Suddenly, some people started to look up into the darkening sky, as they noticed something just floating there, well, some, who had sharper eyes, could see it was a person, with flowing wavy golden hair that caught in the setting sun, a black and gold silk mages robe hanging loosely, and a tall frame.
Those people started to speak animatedly "Is that Lord Kyros?!" one man who spotted the figure, said loudly enough for others busying themselves around him to look, which caused a chain reaction of people stopping, looking up and pointing and talking with each other.
Then, something divine took place, something the people of Luminosity will not forget for generations. The figure, summoned hundreds of thousands of golden, ethereal weapons that blotted out the setting sun, and looked like golden stars glittering in the night sky. They audibly gasped and some even knelt in reverence.
At this point, most of the citizens of Luminosity, not just the ones in the commercial district, had noticed the once in a lifetime event taking place above their city - and knew, this was their leader and liege taking action against something, another potential enemy? Some thought to themselves, however, this time, the people were not worried. If their liege was here and dealing with it personally, then they were safe. That was just how much faith they had in this Godlike figure.
Kyros swung his arm down and then, the weapons of light were sent like automatic instruments of mass destruction. Whistling through the air at such terrifying speeds, they actually broke the the speed of sound.
The spectacle that took place over the city now looked like some sort of meteorite shower, destructively beautiful.
Kyros left abruptly, after displaying power on a level that most wouldn't be able to fathom.
The people of Luminosity slept surprisingly well that night, as the sounds of explosions reverberated through the air.
.....
Next day, within the Palace of Luminosity's Grand Throne Room:
Within the the throne room of the palace of Luminosity, in the centre just below the steps to the throne itself now resides a large rectangle table with high back wooden seats lining each side, obviously meant for important company.
However, at the floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the city that was in the middle of awakening from sleep, stood two men. Aurelius and Kyros.
Aurelius started the conversation "Kyros, I came to you to tell you what I know about the abyss and the cult that props it up. I learnt from my informants and my reach as emperor about them recently, however, before I could make a move, or really know what to do, that witch Seraph suddenly appeared, I had to make an escape using an artifact that only had one use left, luckily I planned for this potential outcome and got my concubines to a safe place first."
As he finished, Kyros while looking out at the city below spoke up calmly "So, I am guessing you want something for this key intel that you have?" Aurelius said quickly "Of course, I had to leave everything behind, my family see me as a traitor, the empire is probably in turmoil, and I have lost everything, along with my assets and wealth. This information is all I have."
Kyros shook his head, as if disappointed "Why would you think I would want anything from you? You are my friend of decades."
At this Aurelius said with disbelief coating his words "Kyros, you really have changed in a short amount of time, when have you ever admitted out loud we are friends?"
Kyros looked sharply at him "I am trying to work on myself, and improve. I realise some of my past action were... unsustainable."
Aurelius nodded acceptingly "Very well, but I would feel weird if I did not use this information as a part of a deal. Just, give me something extra nice in return?"
Kyros smiled knowingly "Yes, how about in return for your information, a top role within our alliance? I know you love to work behind a desk."
Aurelius looked bewildered, before he could protest, the doors to the throne room opened up and a stream of people came walking in led by Diablo. Merlin behind Diablo shouted over the Kyros "I cannot believe you put those literal pieces of this worlds history on your wall as you walk into the throne room, just unbelievable even for you Kyros." He said while shaking his head with a teasing smile on his face.
Kyros turned towards the voice and couldn't help a sigh leaving his lips as he controlled his emotions and headed to the head of the table.
As he sat down the others followed suit, while Diablo stood a step behind him to his left and Aurelius' his right, with Merlin at the opposite end of the table to Kyros. On Kyros left were the notable figures of his city state, whom before they sat bowed low and paid their respects.
They included Commander Balin who leads the military of Luminosity.
The Head of the Merchants Union, which is essentially a faction within the city that encompasses all the businesses, it was an older gentleman, a human, in a tailored three piece suit with a newly minted pocket watch - a relatively new magi-tech device showing his connections and wealth, he had some wrinkles dotted over his face, a long, twirling moustache, and short combed salt and pepper hair. However his eyes, they were those of a man who knew business and economics, they held a sharp glint, like they were searching for as many benefits as possible. His name was George Sinclair.
Next to him was the Head of The Nobles within the city, a human woman of noble grace and temperament something you would expect of a noble scion, she had long purple hair falling to her back, a tight silk gown, that hugged her body, and long gloves that reached her elbows and accentuated her slim hands and fingers. Her face was quite sharp, with small eyebrows and walnut coloured eyes. Her face seemed relaxed as if she was not feeling any pressure at all, like she could navigate a social situation blindfolded. Her name was Lady Veronica Alpine.
Lastly, next to her was the Head of The Commoners, which may not be seen as much compared to the others but especially within Luminosity held quite a bit of sway. As they made up the bulk of the workforce. So it was more of a workers union.
The head of the commoners was a rough looking man, with big thick hands that looked like they had spent a lifetime building and creating. With long curved horns coming out of his forehead signifying his heritage as a demon. However, his hair, which was medium length, black hair, seemed well kept and maintained and his clothes radiated upper class wealth. The build of his body was wide and muscley, filling out his tailor made clothes. It shows that this man most likely worked his way up from a worker to where he is now, so he should not be underestimated, he is a shark, just like the others. This man may just be more so, as he is self made. His expression coming from his purple eyes seems to radiate confidence and quiet challenge. He was Rodrick Belfour
To Kyros's right, however, are the key figures within the Academy of Magic.
Firstly, was a man in spectacles that radiated quiet magical power, he seemed like he spent most of his time at a desk. Wearing what most professors at the academy do, a long cotton robe with a cloak, that drops to the floor when standing and a sash across his chest that signifies his position as Head of the Teachers Union, within the academy, a very important position, that holds a lot of influence. He was a Great Mage, with a learned aura about him. Short silver hair, a long curved nose a pointed jaw, some sign of his many years in the slight dullness of his hazel eyes and crinkles around them. He seemed to be a bit apprehensive, maybe he was not used to these types of meetings, or maybe he was eager to return. He was Aaron Smith.
Secondly, next to Aaron, was the Deputy Dean of the Academy, a woman that looked relatively young, with her blue hair in a bob, with some stands falling onto her soft unblemished skin, her features were mostly soft, except for her sharp and strict blue eyes, that seemed used to expecting no nonsense from students. She wore similar attire to Aaron, whereas, hers had no sash and instead sported minimal frivolities. She wore a neutral expression, not allowing herself to show too much. Looking every bit the professional that you would expect from the one who essentially run the everyday affairs of the academy and its territory. She is also a Great Mage and her name is Rebecca Montclair.
Lastly, was a military looking man, the Head of Security for the Academy and its territory, an Emperor Mage who also is in charge of the entrance exams. He was wearing combat attire, everything except the helmet for obvious reasons. Ironically developed and made by Luminosity. A scar ran across his face from some magic beast, and he had a shaved head with sharp pointed, amber, eyes. His eye brows were long and slightly bushy, and he head a short trimmed beard, that was orange in colour. A square jaw and a body that looked trained for war. His facial expressions were stoic and confident, like he had seen battlefields so nothing would daunt him. He was Alexander Blade.
Kyros looked over at merlin opposite and said "You do not have any nobles or workers in your territory?"
At this Merlin smiled slightly before saying "As you know, we barely have any noble families who actively live and contribute to our territory, most just stay when visiting their children or on a holiday, and for the workers, yes we have a thriving tourist and services industry. However, we do not allow the commoners to create any one body to represent them. While we do not impede them either. This is something we can discuss later, I like your system, very unique and fair. That is rare in this cruel world."
Kyros nodded in recognition before saying as he looked at each person here "Let us commence the meeting of the founding of The Alliance.
