I am writing this update with a mix of gratitude and humility. Since this was my first novel, writing this story has been an amazing journey, and I am deeply grateful for the support and time you have invested in reading it so far.
However, after careful consideration and honest self-assessment, I have decided to pause work on Red Shadows indefinitely.
The truth is, I've become aware of a lack of skill and finesse in my current writing that this ambitious story deserves. Rather than continuing with a quality I know isn't my best, I need to step back. This isn't a permanent goodbye; it's a necessary hiatus for training. I am committing to working on other projects in the meantime to sharpen my craft, hone my skills, and grow as a writer.
I promise to return to the world of Red Shadows again, armed with more experience and a better ability to tell the story you deserve.
