Chapter 127: Battle Against Radius's Avatar

Franklin stepped slowly into the passage, the light around him dimming until he could no longer see his own hand in front of his face.

Then, without warning, a flash of bright light exploded before his eyes—before he could react, he was instantly teleported away.

As the brilliance faded, Franklin slowly opened his eyes. He now stood before a massive crimson palace gate, sealed shut. The moment the teleportation light completely disappeared, the enormous doors creaked open.

Beyond them stretched a long, dark corridor. As the gates opened wider, lights flickered to life one after another from the entrance inward, as though the entire palace were inviting him to step inside.

After a brief hesitation, Franklin steadied his resolve and strode forward. He passed through the long corridor until he reached a vast hall. The space within was empty—but as soon as he entered, streams of glowing data suddenly sealed the entire chamber.

A humanoid form began flickering into existence, composed entirely of white light. The data fragments shattered, and before Franklin's eyes, the light gathered into a towering figure—over twenty meters tall—holding a sword in one hand and a spear in the other.

Behind it extended six enormous, sword-shaped protrusions from an ornate white structure, each embedded with several glowing red orbs.

[Radius's Avatar]

Ten blood bars flared to life above its head. Cold sweat rolled down Franklin's forehead. This was absurd—why had he been teleported directly to the 100th-floor boss of the Ruby Palace?

Before he could think further, the boss moved. The crystal orbs on its back pulsed with prismatic light, and ten beams of energy shot toward Franklin at lightning speed. Each one carried lethal power—any hit would mean instant death.

Franklin dodged desperately. As he shifted aside, the boss vanished from sight—then reappeared right in front of him. The massive sword came sweeping down. Franklin blocked with his own blade, but even with perfect technique, he was thrown violently backward.

Before he even touched the ground, the boss lunged again—its giant spear stabbing straight at him. Franklin met it with a deft parry, yet the tremendous force sent him spinning away once more.

While airborne, he swung his Guardian Sword rapidly. Dozens of sword energy arcs shot toward the boss like a rainstorm, striking directly at its head. The Avatar blocked them effortlessly with its arm, but Franklin was already charging his next strike.

A blinding burst of sword energy illuminated the entire hall. The boss crossed its sword and spear to block, yet the sheer force still drove it back several dozen meters. Its eyes flared red, and twin beams of pure light fired straight toward Franklin.

Taking a deep breath, Franklin conjured a protective barrier around himself. The beams struck—it shattered instantly, and his blue energy bar drained to zero.

The impact sent him crashing against the wall. Even so, he managed to dodge the follow-up blast by sheer instinct. The ground erupted as enormous vines—each thicker than his body—burst upward and lunged toward him.

As they slammed down, Franklin dropped low, unleashing a powerful Draw Sword Technique. Brilliant arcs of sword energy cleaved through two vines, turning them into digital particles. But a third vine came crashing from above—just as Franklin prepared to roll away, the boss suddenly appeared before him.

He had already pushed his level-nine strength to its absolute limit, yet under such overwhelming disparity, Franklin was powerless. The massive blade swept across him, and his body dissolved into white data light.

The moment Franklin vanished, Radius's Avatar also dispersed into data. A glowing teleportation gate appeared, and from it stepped a weary-looking middle-aged man in a white lab coat.

"Level nine, and he managed to spar with a level-one-hundred-floor boss… what a monstrous human. That slash—was that actual sword energy, like in a fantasy novel? I don't recall ever programming such a skill."

Kayaba Akihiko frowned, lost in thought, but soon shook his head with a sigh. A vast data screen materialized before him as he searched for the profiles of Franklin's party. After several minutes, he exhaled in frustration.

"Still nothing. Who are these three? They've completely bypassed my admin permissions—they're outside my system's control. All unknown variables must be eliminated. The other two shouldn't be as strong as that one… right?"

The teleportation gate opened again, and Kayaba stepped through, vanishing without a trace.

In the real world, Franklin jolted upright. Expanding his divine sense, he confirmed that Momo and Nana were not in his room.

He rushed toward Lala's room, entered through the mirror portal, and extended his senses again—still no sign of Momo or Nana within two kilometers.

Just as he was about to take off and search the mirror dimension, he recalled something strange he had sensed earlier while scanning his room.

He strode to Lala's wardrobe and pulled the door open. Inside was a high-tech alloy hatch. Spotting a button beside it, Franklin pressed it. The metal gate slowly slid open—

—and there stood Momo and Nana, laughing and tugging playfully at each other's towels. The sight froze Franklin in place on the spot.

Both girls had just finished bathing and were startled by Franklin's sudden intrusion. Momo blinked, but Nana's eyes flared with anger.

"Pervert! You—beast! Ever heard of knocking before you barge in?"

Momo, more composed, caught Nana's arm before she could attack him.

"Mr. Franklin just came out of the game a moment ago. For him to rush in like this, he must have a serious reason. Can you explain what's happening?"

Franklin exhaled sharply. "I think Kayaba Akihiko discovered our existence. I was teleported straight into the 100th-floor boss room and got obliterated instantly.

Lala and Bulma are probably in the same situation. It's not a big deal if the three of us die—but there are two other girls from that world who are linked to us through our party. I'm worried Kayaba might delete them too. Do you still have a backup of the computer you broke yesterday?"

The two sisters reacted very differently. Momo turned immediately toward her own room, while Nana glared furiously at Franklin.

"All this worry—for two girls you barely met? Don't tell me you've fallen for them already! You pervert! You creep!"

Franklin rubbed his temples, exasperated. "Nana, your focus is seriously misplaced. This isn't about whether I like them or not.

Lala, Bulma, and I are outsiders. Because of us, two innocent girls might get killed. If that happens, what do you think Lala will do? She genuinely considers them her friends now."

At that moment, Momo returned, holding a phone. She tapped rapidly on the screen, and a pink, futuristic device identical to the one from yesterday materialized in the air before them.

Still wearing only a towel, Momo sat cross-legged on the floor and quickly activated the device. A shimmering image appeared—a shaky, moving view through someone else's eyes.

"This is Big Sister's perspective. I messed up the settings a bit, so it's showing her first-person view—but that shouldn't affect what we need to see."
