Chapter 83 - Chapter 84 Ross, Die! Abomination, Die!

"Speaking of which, I almost forgot about you."

"If you hadn't relentlessly pursued Hulk, Abomination wouldn't have come to New York City."

"If Abomination hadn't come to New York City, he wouldn't have become Abomination."

"Then there wouldn't have been that battle between Hulk and Abomination."

"If there hadn't been that battle..."

"My sister wouldn't have died!"

Hawke stomped on Ross, immobilizing him, and murmured as he looked at Ross beneath his feet.

The next second.

He smiled.

"It's alright, forgetting is fine."

Hawke smiled slightly, looking at General Ross beneath his feet, and said softly, "Thank you for reminding me that you're involved."

General Ross, who had been struggling under Hawke's feet, stopped struggling upon hearing Hawke's words, perhaps realizing something.

Hawke's eyes turned icy cold!

"Stop"

"Pfft!"

As Hawke's right foot landed, a crimson stain, like watermelon juice, began to spread beneath his pair of sky-blue sneakers, worth no more than thirty dollars but worn for many years and cherished dearly.

Thaddeus Ross.

Dead!

No more words. Hawke had no intention of listening to Ross's nonsense, nor did he bother to give General Ross a chance to speak.

Death was enough.

Why so much nonsense?

Behind him.

Maria Hill, who had just rushed from Sanfei to the scene, couldn't help but fix her gaze on the sky-blue sneakers that had crushed General Ross's head.

Hawke withdrew his right foot, wiped the sole of the shoe on his uniform lying on the ground, then ignored the headless corpse in front of him and turned to look at the newcomer.

A face with clear features and distinct lines.

Eyes as sharp as an eagle's, ice-blue.

A well-tailored, perfectly fitted dark Aegis combat uniform.

A name flashed through Hawke's mind.

"SHIELD!"

"Maria Hill!"

  "…"

Maria Hill snapped out of her daze, meeting Hawke's gaze, and took a deep breath.

"Hawk."

"It's me."

Hawke, hands in his pockets, smiled slightly as he looked at Maria Hill, who dared to come alone despite his swaggering attitude.

"Is there something you need?"

"You've killed General Ross, now…"

"He deserved to die."

Hawke narrowed his eyes, interrupting Maria Hill: "Ms. Hill, if your sister died, what would you do?"

Maria Hill paused, not replying, but looking at Hawke again.

"Ross is dead. What are you planning to do next?"

"Next?"

"Yes."

Maria Hill nodded, meeting Hawke's gaze.

She had been mentally cursing Nick Fury the whole way here.

They had clearly seen Hawke's arrogant display of power at the military base, punching tanks and kicking fighter jets.

Logically, Nick Fury should have been here, not her.

Regardless of how Nick Fury was reinstated, as long as wartime hadn't been declared, her authority was lower than his.

But what happened? Nick Fury ran away.   No answer to calls, no reply to texts, no GPS tracking.

Good grief.

Well, with the SHIELD director missing, Maria Hill had no choice but to bite the bullet and go for it.

However she was now certain of one thing.

There must be a connection between Nick Fury's reinstatement and Thaddeus Ross's precise location of Hawke.

Perhaps Nick Fury leaked Hawke's information to Ross in exchange for Ross's support for his reinstatement.

Unfortunately,Ross is now dead.

Maria Hill thought to herself, glancing at the headless corpse at Hawke's feet, but quickly averting her gaze.

Simply put, it was disgusting.

Hawke, hearing Maria Hill's "next," smiled and shook his head, then said with a smile, "Ms. Hill, what happens next isn't up to me, but up to you."

Maria Hill looked at Hawke.

"Ross is dead, you can leave now."

"Not enough."

"What?"

"Hand over Abomination."

Hawke shook his head expressionlessly.

He understood Maria Hill's words.

Ross was dead, he could leave now, and today's events could be treated as if they never happened.

But how could that be?

Ross was dead, but Abomination wasn't.

Hawke glanced sideways at the VIPs at the entrance of the command building, who were stuck in a limbo, unable to leave or enter.

His face was expressionless as he said, "One minute.

Either you give me the Abomination, or I'll come back to you in a minute."

His words had barely left his lips when the VIPs began to stir.

"Damn it, where's the Abomination?"

"In the underground cage."

"Release him, release him!"

"Quick, release him!"

"There's no time left, only thirty seconds."

  "..."

Hawke scoffed at the tearful voices of these important figures, looked at Maria Hill standing before him, and shook his head speechlessly:

"I dare say, there are definitely these people who supported Ross's attack on me. They were probably all aggressive, thinking I was just an ant, but now that I've come knocking, they've chickened out, afraid I'll kill them like ants."

Maria Hill stared at Hawke.

"Are you going to kill them?"

"It depends."

"For example..."

"I won't offend others unless they offend me; if they offend me, I will retaliate."

Hawke looked at Maria Hill and smiled, saying, "Ms. Hill, look, you're standing right in front of me now."

Just as he spoke,

*Thump!*

The ground suddenly shook, and then the earth shattered, and a colossal creature, uglier than the Hulk, roared out from beneath the ground.

It was Abomination.

But the electric locks on the cage malfunctioned instantly.

Without a second thought, he smashed through the cage and returned to the ground.

Just as he was about to roar and declare his return, Abomination froze, staring at the burning armored vehicles, exploding tanks, shattered fighter jets, and countless ruins and corpses around him.

What was going on?

Was it the end of the world?

Abomination was completely bewildered, but after a brief moment of stunned silence, his gaze was drawn to a tiny ant with its back to him not far away.

The next second,a cruel smile spread across Abomination's face.

If Hulk followed a path of self-defense and counterattack, then Abomination followed a path of unbridled destruction.

After all, Hulk's host was a scientist.

Abomination's host was a warrior, especially since Abomination was born with the sole aim of becoming stronger, stronger, and stronger still.

So.

Abomination, attack!

"Roar!"

Abomination roared, staring at the unmoved little ant with its back to him not far away.

The rage accumulated from years of imprisonment and frequent experiments finally erupted.

After running a few steps, it leaped, a ferocious grin on its face, intending to crush the little ant in its eyes to death in the most cruel way possible.

Crushed to death.

Hawke remained unmoved, still looking at Maria Hill before him.

Maria Hill caught a glimpse of Abomination, who had leaped into the air and was approaching like a dark cloud.

The pressure brought by Abomination's descent from the sky was like a raging storm; thud, thud, thud, the already fragile ground cracked.

Maria Hill also felt this immense pressure, forcing herself not to kneel under its weight.

But she didn't back down either, also looking at Hawke.

Their eyes met.

A howling wind.

Hawke looked at Maria Hill before him, feeling the approaching wind, a slight smile playing on his lips.

The next second…

He turned.

He threw a punch.

Boom!

Abomination's chest exploded instantly, sending him flying backward.

With a deafening crash, he slammed into a burning tank, and together with the tank, continued to tumble backward.

Until—

Boom!

Abomination's massive body crashed onto the rubble, dragging three burning tanks that had rolled down from the sky.

Before flames, all are equal.

Abomination, crashing onto the rubble, was instantly engulfed by the flames, and soon a sizzling sound filled the air.

Abomination!

Dead!

Dead upon entering the scene.

There were no wasted words; just one punch, and Abomination was gone.

He had even killed Hulk.

If he took Abomination, who couldn't even beat Hulk, seriously, and even fought him for three hundred rounds, what kind of nonsense would that be?

Was he not taking Hulk seriously?

Or was he not taking his cosmos seriously?   Unlike Hulk.

Even as the massive body of the Abomination was engulfed by flames, it didn't revert to its original form.

After all Bruce Banner was born from excessive gamma radiation, creating the Hulk.

But the Abomination was created by Emil Bronsky, who directly injected gamma serum into his own carotid artery.

Simply put, the Abomination and Emil Bronsky had long since become one, inseparable.

The Abomination was Emil Bronsky.

Emil Bronsky was the Abomination.

After turning and throwing a punch, Hawke didn't bother to look at the Abomination again, continuing to focus on Maria Hill in front of him.

He was more interested in Maria Hill than the Abomination.

Maria Hill's mind replayed the image of Hawke effortlessly killing the Abomination with a single punch, but she maintained a calm expression as she looked at Hawke.

"And now?"

"What do you think?"

Hawke put his hands back in his pockets, his gaze calmly meeting Maria Hill's.

Maria Hill met Hawke's eyes, her mind racing.

"Hulk is dead, Abomination is dead, Ross is dead too. All three people connected to your sister's death are now dead."

"Yes."

"Go back."

"Haha."

Hawke burst into laughter upon hearing Maria Hill's words.

His laughter was mocking.

Maria Hill's heart skipped a beat.

The important figures not far away, crammed together, unsure whether to advance or retreat, trembled at Hawke's laughter.
