Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Hive 21 Will Have A taste Of Zeon Supremacy!

Back at the Imperial Palace of Tokyo, Veriline was situated outside said palace, tilting her head upwards slightly to admire the architecture. Veriline let out a small "Hmph" of interest before slinking into the car that had been waiting for her.

Back at the airport, the five Zudah's were still in formation in front of the Gaw, and on the other side was the squad of 12 TSF'S the Type 00 Takemikazuchi, a third generation high performance TSF.

And, the tension was palpable. Both parties seeming to stare each other down in silence.

On the closed comms of the Japanese, they spoke as they observed what was their enemy.

"These were the TSF's that had been pestering us huh." One pilot said as he observed the Zudah, head to toe.

"They look outdated." A female pilot murmured. As she watched another Zudah, eyeing the dual MMP-80 90mm machine cannons attached to either side of it's waist. And the various stick magazines attached to the surface of shoulder shield.

"Although they pack more serious heat in terms of firepower." She continued, analyzing and recording the information of what they could gather visually.

On the Zeon side of things. Much of the same was happening.

"These look different from the other ones." (Type 94 Shiranui) A pilot quipped. "They look... Alien.." He Grabbed the targeting goggles and using the zoom function to get a closer look at the Shiranui's.

In doing so. The red monoeye moved side to side, looking at the Type 00's with a calculating glare.

"Mm." A female pilot hummed as she rubbed her chin in curiosity. "High performance units maybe? Like the GM Strikers we encountered late in the war."

"GM Strikers? What are those?" The other pilot asked, genuinely confused.

"Oh yeah. You didn't get to that part of the war." Just as the female pilot said that, the car carrying Veriline approached and stopped in front of the Gaw

As Veriline stepped out, the Zudah's straightened and made a salute. Veriline saluted them back.

"Come on people, let's wrap this up! I want to get home before dinner and watch the show." I say as i clapped my hands, in doing so the Zudah's walked back to the open bay doors of the Gaw, and i followed soon after.

Just before the doors closed i took one last look at the TSF squadron...

Meanwhile... Hive 21

A massive fleet of 12 Gaw Attack Carriers steadily lumbered to the 21st hive of the BETA. Being escorted by modern jets that have been captured. Ehem... strategically re-acuired.

On the lead Carrier, the operation commander was standing in front of a digital strategic table. The entire Hive being marked in a big red circle.

"Be prepared lads! We'll enter the range of the Big Laser things soon. Gaw's Zim and Gran, commence bombardment!" The Commander yelled, his orders echoing around the entire fleet.

Two Gaw's accelerated in front of the fleet. The doors on the base of the wings opening to reveal massive missile launchers.

The missiles fired a massive opening salvo of missiles.

WOOSH! WOOSH! WOOSH!

As the missiles closed in. The Heavy Lazer classes began opening fire on said missiles. But they has a swerve program, allowing them to survive by spreading out. Making them not economic to target.

The missiles entered the range of the smaller Lazer class, small light green beams of irradiated light striking multiple missiles down.

Half of the missiles were destroyed, but then they all exploded. Massive clouds of heavy metal particles spreading over the Hive airspace. The beams of light diffusing as they went through the cloud.

"FIRE AGAIN!"

WOOSH! WOOSH! WOOSH!

The second salvo flew without much interference. Exploding over the hive again, thickening the cloud of metal particles.

Inside the lead Gaw, the weapons Officers were having a little chat. "Looks like these UN guys have some pretty neat stuff."

"Mm. We wouldn't have gotten these close. Would have been useful in Jaburo." the Officer said. And the Commander perked up in pride,

"Get us on top of their heads! Max altitude!" The Commander ordered, slamming his fist on the table for emphasis.

The Gaw's flew as high as they can. Tilting upwards and hovered over the Hive. The massive front doors opening, revealing the Mobile Suits inside the hangars.

"Drop us now!" Zudah Pilot 'Z-9', the team leader, bellowed over the comms from the hanger bay.

"Aim for the Coastline! Secure a landing spot for the Second Wave!" The Commander yelled through the comms.

"Jump! Jump! Jump!" Z-9 commanded.

The four remaining Zudah Mobile Suits detached their magnetic clamps and plunged into freefall.

The other Gaw's dropped their payload soon after. Zaku II's and supply boxes followed.

The comms were silent as they fell through the air, only the howling of the wind can be heard through their headsets as they approached the dense cloud of metals.

"Brace! We'll meet resistance past the cloud!" a Zaku II with a Commander Antenna, yelled through the comms. A Large Heat Hawk strapped to the back of his Zaku.

The falling mobile suits hit the cloud, slightly displacing the particles as the went through it.

A few moments later, they broke through the other side. Leaving trails of brownish-black particles in their wake.

Then, a massive barrage of Lazer fire suddenly bore upon them all. The Mobile Suit's firing their thrusters in an attempt to dodge and weave.

"Ah, too much laser fire!" a pilot in the descent stream cried out, his Zaku's Monoeye moving side to side frantically as he tried to weave a path through the lethal beams.

"NOO NOT AGAI-" the pilot's scream was suddenly silenced as a large red Lazer then hit the Zaku, the entire torso dissappearing.

BOOM!

The reactor detonated. A giant pink sphere ultra hot Plasma and Minovsky Particles.

The other mobile suits desperately weaved to evade the dense laser fire, both big and small.

A Zudah used it's main thruster to accelerate downwards, diving in a faster pace, doing mid air rolls and flips to dodge.

The Zudah then was hit in the left leg, turning the metal into slag and then exploding. "Gah! I am hit, I am hit!" the pilot yelled as he wrestled with the controls.

"I can't..! hold! GAAAAAAAH-" A moment later, the Mobile Suit was hit with a second barrage of laser fire. Taking off the head, then an arm. And the torso and detonating the Reactor.

"Z-6 is down!" One of the members reported, pulling their Zudah to barely dodge a Lazer.

"Forget him! We're hitting ground!" Z-9 commanded, turning his Zudah to turn upright and deploy the parachute.

The parachute deployed at the low altitude. The landing sub-thrusters firing to slow down the descent.

Multiple Zudah's deployed their parachutes, kicking up dirt as their feet hit the ground.

"Z Squad landed!" Z-9, the Captain, reported, his optics instantly tracking the incoming threats. Hundreds of Beta units Soldier and Tank class alike-were burrowing out of the ground, or coming out of pre-dug tunnels to the surface. A grotesque, near endless chitinous tide.

"PUSH! For Zeon!" the Squad Leader roared, lifting his Zaku Machine Gun and spraying concentrated fire into the nearest wave.

"SIEEEEEG ZEON!!!" The other team members yelled, drawing out their weapons to spray lead.

"We have to give the Zaku Cannons a landing zone! Fire!" Another Zudah, armed with a Zaku Bazooka loaded with a devastating canister round, fired. The shell detonated mid-air, showering the lead Beta ranks with shrapnel and tearing them apart into bloody pulp.

Then, a few moments later, the second wave of MS landed. Regular Zaku II's to provide supporting fire.

"We are here! Grab your weapons men!" The Zaku commander ordered, the MS pointing forwards with it's one hand. The other holding the Large Heat Hawk, which was almost as big as the Zaku itself.

The other Zaku's shouldered their Bazooka's, took kneeling positions and fired.

WOOSH! WOOSH! WOOSH!

They fired rocket propelled lead down range into the tide of flesh and bone. Deploying their leg missile launchers to bear down every bit of firepower they had.

Some other Zaku's hip fired 175mm Assault Cannons. Hitting far and hardened targets. Like the slow lumbering Fortress classes that have just started coming out.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Over the overwhelming pounding of gunfire. A new noise, deeper than the high pitched laser fire, cut through the air. The sound jet engines.

"The Artillery is coming boys. Hold on a little longer." the transmission cut through the radio noise of the battlefield, as a fleet of Dodai II's approached the landing zone.

The Zaku Cannons let go of the handles as they flew close to the beaches, hopping off the transports and deploying smaller landing parachutes, letting their momentum carry them forwards.

They then landed with a short burst of their leg thrusters, slowing them down and immediately kneeling.

Their 180mm shoulder mounted cannons aimed. Intent to destroy as much as possible.

Axis

Far from the chaos, in the cool, command center of Axis, Jean stood straight, her face a knot of professional worry as she watched the battle unfold.

Jean then crossed her arms and "Get me a direct line to the Commander, Now."

The Comms Officer obliged, buttons clacking on the keyboard. The other end picked up, Showing Veriline sitting on a couch in the luxury suite of her Personal Gaw.

"Commander, when are you returning? We've started the assault on Hive 21, and losses are minimal... for now, but we need you," she said.

I shifted on my seat slightly. Staring straight at her eyes through the camera. "Don't worry, Jean. I'm on my way home. If the situation goes south before I arrive, prepare them. And keep me updated." I then poke the camera with my finger. "I trust you Jean, that's why i gave this role to you."

"Understood Commander! I won't let you down!" She saluted crisply. Her voice rising in pride and puffing out her chest.

I let out a "heh" and gave her my own salute before cutting the comms.

Jean then straightened her uniform. "Chop Chop everyone! Give me updates on the battlefield!"

Meanwhile

"We need Reinforcements! We're surrounded!" a desperate voice cracked over the busy infantry channel. A small, beleaguered squad of Zeon ground troops was being slowly pushed from all sides.

"Keep firing!" A soldier emptied his assault rifle into a wave of Soldier-class Betas, the rounds blowing off chunks of flesh with each hit.

"Incoming!" a soldier yelled. A massive Tank-class Beta leaped high and landed on top of a Magella Eins tank.

Said tank desperately fired it's cannon, managing to blow off a leg. But it didn't deter the creature. It's hands latching on the edges of the turret and forcefully prying it off from the chassis.

"Fuck you bitch!" The driver yelled as he shifted to full throttle, the turret less tank charging forwards and crushing multiple Soldier Class into bloody pulp under it's treads.

As it went deeper into the horde the Tank Class smashed the drivers hatch with it's fist and crushing the driver and putting the tank on a sudden halt.

Just as it turned to seek out more prey, it's torso or main body was suddenly blown as a 130mm round from another Magella Eins.

Said Eins had the infantry huddled around it. Dug in deep in a final stand as they almost literally fought back to back.

The commander popped the hatch open, Manning the heavy Machine Gun. "Come on lads! Fight till your last breath! SIEEEEEG ZEOOOOOON!" He yelled at the top of his lungs he pulled the bolt back with a satisfying Ka-chunk and began immediately spraying lead.

BOOM!

The main cannon fired. Taking out another approaching Tank Class as all the infantry bore down all their firepower that they have towards the fleshy tide of enemies.

"YAAAAAAAAAHHHH

!!!" The soldiers yelled in unison as they kept firing streams of lead on the ever closing tide of BETA.

However...

Thump, Thump, Thump. Whiiiiir BRRRRRRRTTTT

The heavy rumbling of the 90mm Gatling Cannon filled the battlefield with flying shells. Easily cleaning the horde of incoming BETA within a few sweeps.

The troops turned around, their eyes widening and smiles breaking their grim faces as morale shot up.

It was a Zaku I, Carrying a 90mm Gatling gun and a massive drum of ammunition on it's lower back and a secondary MMP-80 strapped to the skirt armor.

"Move it! Head back to the beach!" The pilot's voice, amplified through external speakers, was rough but commanding as the Zaku itself made a come here gesture with one of it's hands. "The hell happened to you anyways?"

"Thanks. Transport was shot. Made a rough landing." The Commander of the tank radioed back.

The soldiers then scrambled to board the hull of the tank, seating themselves on the turret or on any flat surface. "Alright driver! Get our asses out of here."

The commander then pounded his fist onto the hull and the tank turned around to head towards the Zaku.

The Zaku tilted it's head up, the pinkish monoeye moving left and right to scan the battlefield. "Incoming Grappler Class!" the Zaku pilot yelled, raising the Gatling Cannon once again to take aim at another approaching wave

"Push them back! Send them back to hell! Sieg Zeon!" he roared, unleashing another volley of shells flying, the Grappler raising it's extremely armored forearms to block the storm of ordnance. But not for long.

Eventually, the armored forearms shattered and the Grappler exploded into a shower of gore as the barrage hit it's main body.

Then, some moments later the Eins tank carrying the troops, passed by the Zaku, retreating into friendly lines.

A few seconds later, was the time the Gatling cannon decided to run out, as it made a continuous clicking sound as the barrels kept spinning.

"Tch. Should have grabbed two cans." The pilot scoffed, attaching the minigun onto the side of the backpack and he drew the MMP-80.

"We got another horde on the left flank. Requesting a rocket barrage." The pilot spoke calmly into the comms,

Meanwhile, The Zaku Cannons sub arms raised the missile launchers, the hands grabbing the handles and raising them up.

WOOSH! WOOSH! WOOSH!

A massive collection of bright rocket trails lit up the airspace of the battlefield as the rocket barrage landed on the other side. Decimating everything, even the heavier Grapplers.

"RELOAD!" A Zaku Cannon pilot demanded, and a Zaku I covered in head to toe with ammunition. Thigh holsters and lower leg holsters attached with stacks of magazines, and it's chest covered with Bazooka magazines, with a container backpack attached to it.

Said Zaku I replaced the magazines of the rocket launcher and the 180mm cannon. Getting the artillery ready to fire again.

As the battle kept raging on the stress was turning into delirium. Over the Mobile Suit comms, the pilots began to chant, a bizarre, defiant song filtering through the network:

"over there, over here, over there! Beta and humanity, beware! Over here, over there, Zeon is coming, say your prayers!"

"so beware say your prayers. the Zeon war machine is coming for you"

"Pack your bags grab your gun there is war to be won though the stars and Earth, Zeon marches into war"

"until Zeon's will is done"

Their morale hit a desperate, critical high. They were not just fighting; they were going down swinging. With everything they had.

The Zaku Commander fired his dual MMP-80's into the incoming horde of tanks and. The Vanguard consisting of Zaku's desperately holding back the endless tide of BETA.

"We need and air recon. Check the enemy numbers!" The Zaku Commander ordered as he reloaded his weapons.

"This is Oggo Squad Delta, patching you through now." The radio crackled as a flight of 3 Oggo's all equipped with dual 6 Barrel 280mm Anti-Ship Rockets.broke through the screen of heavy metals, flying at high speed and altitude.

The Monoeye mounted on the lead Oggo moved back and forth, showing the insane scale of the enemy numbers.

"Dear God." Both the pilot of the Oggo and Zaku Commander murmured. Seeing the immense scale of their enemy.

Then, a moment later a barrage of Lazer fire hit the approaching Oggo's, two of them managed to evade, but the third one wasn't lucky.

"GAAAAAH!"

The third Oggo's rocket launcher was hit. They tried to jettison it but it exploded in a orange and black fireball.

The lead Oggo lowered their altitude, their wingmen following suit. "Damn it. ROCKET BARRAGE!"

Both Oggo's unloaded their rockets. Carpeting a area with explosions. Which seemed to be a dot in a big canvas in comparison to the horde.

"Delta retreating now. Goodluck out there." The Oggo's then flew low to the ground, retreating back to the circling Gaw outside the dome of metal particles.

Back at the vanguard force, the Zaku Commander's shoulder slumped with a sigh. His MS mimicking the movement.

"We got more incoming!" One of the pilots yelled. "They got a big one!"

The Zaku Commander then put his dual MMP-80's back onto the skirt armor. Reaching for the Large Heat Hawk attached to the backpack of the Zaku.

The Zaku then raised the heated blade of the massive war axe high into the air. "DO NOT FALTER MEN! THE SECOND ZEON WAVE WILL COME! WE SHALL PREVAIL TODAY! AND THE DAY AFTER! SIEEEEEEEG ZEEEOOOOOOON!!!!!"

"URAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!"

The battered but still very much alive Vanguard charged forwards. Spitting lead and rocket propelled ordnance into the horde of enemies in a glorious blaze of fire and explosions.

Axis

Deep inside the fortified base. A elevator doors hissed open. The clacking of boots and the hum of the ventilation system the only sound in this otherwise quiet facility.

"Welcome back, Commander." Jean snapped a salute, several soldiers behind her doing the same.

"What's the situation?" I asked as i walked past her.

"Bad," Jean admitted, turning to follow.

"But we're managing for now."

"Tell me on the way."

We didn't pause. I listened to the grim reports of overwhelming numbers. The Betas weren't using strategy; they were using volume.

Jean then leaned over, holding a tablet. "This is the latest visual report. We counted at least 20 thousand on the image alone." Jean said. Showing the image that the Delta squad captured.

I let out a "tch" of annoyance and worry, biting the nail of my thumb. "That many huh. It is a Hive after all. And the UN isn't there to do half the work for us."

I then lifted my head to look at Jean. "Send them in there." i say. My tone deathly serious.

Jean cooly straightened her posture. "They're already on the way since yesterday Ma'am."

"Good. Sieg Zeon." I gave a half hearted salute as i turn away to walk down the corridor. Jean scurrying off back to the command room.

I walked to a separate, unmarked elevator, i then took out an ID card and scanned it. When it turned green the door opened.

I stepped in and felt the movement as it moved, taking me to the unknown chambers of Axis.

When the doors opened, i stepped out into a metal catwalk. Looking down below into the hollowed-out chamber that was dug out by the previous inhabitants.

"Hahaha! It's almost finished!" I chuckled, throwing my arms up in excitement, and gazing down the massive, skeletal framework of the spaceport being constructed in the hollowed-out cavern.

I looked up, seeing the opened blast doors, letting in rays of sunlight into the cavern. The light glinting off the armor of Zaku I's and other construction machines down below.

"Heh. This will be exciting." I murmured, turning my head to a completed drydock with the skeleton of a ship being constructed in it.

A/n: sorry for the very late update i was very busy with school and such

Also thank you @gunman567 for helping me out with thank you very much
