Yuzu had always known she had a resilient body, one that healed quickly even after being beaten half to death. Under the warm care of Yeva and Viktor, who treated her like their own younger sister, her gloom slowly melted away. Within a week, the once silent and unsociable girl began to shine again like a small sun inside the mansion.
When she finally recovered, Yuzu asked for permission to start working right away. Niky agreed without hesitation. And just like that, Yuzu officially became the second gardener in Niky's estate.
"Every plant requires a different method of care. I'll explain them to you one by one, Yuzu."
"Okay, Filip!"
She responded eagerly to Filip, the plant expert Niky hired to look after the greenhouse. Unlike Yeva or Aleksei, Filip couldn't speak Japanese. Still, he patiently communicated with her using basic English and hand gestures, doing his best to make Yuzu understand his words.
