Chapter 2 - The meeting

After that week, Ester wasn't himself. He spent his days staring at his reflection, wondering why he had been given something so unknown—something so pitiful.

"I hate it. I hate it!" he said.

Then, for a moment, a glimpse of the Eternal Song appeared. A small crack formed before his eyes, only to vanish in an instant.

Ester looked dumbfounded at what he had just seen. "A crack in the air? What the—" he trailed off, confused. He had no idea what he'd done. As he walked out of his room with a bewildered expression, he whispered to himself, "What else can I do with this Song? But I can't use it again."

He looked at his dad (Luke Linstin) and his mom (Maria Linstin) and said, "Mom, Dad, I did something weird with my Song, but I can't do it again. What does that mean? What should I do?"

Maria said, "Oh, honey… we can't always give you the answers to your question if we don't know how your Song works. So, find out on your own without our help."

Ester looked at them with an understanding smile and kept what he did a secret because a kind of crack in the air is unbelievable.

He went outside with a newfound light—a light that showed he wanted to try to figure out his eternal with more understanding, rather than a lack of resolve, and with no more doubt about what people said about his abilities being bad.

As Ester walked, he got an idea in his head. He thought, "I should go to the forest and try to see if I can use it."

But when he looked at the forest, he saw that beautiful lady from the Accisums exam who was training. Ester still walked to the forest to train, but the lady looked at him and mockingly said, "Look who it is—that boy with that useless power."

"I have a name, you know—it's Ester," he said.

The lady replied, "Yeah, yeah, and my name is Mina."

"What are you doing here anyway?" Ester said, looking at her with a bit of a smile.

"It's none of your business what I do," Mina replied, with a bit of a mad look.

"It's none of your business what I do," Mina replied, with a bit of a mad look.

Ester replied again with confidence, "I was just asking, no big deal. I'm just gonna go now."

She said as Ester left, "Good riddance."

Ester walked deeper into the forest, where a bunch of trees and then he pulling his hand up forward, trying to push the Eternal abilities out, like what he did unconsciously in his room.
