Keilan
I watched with a twisted smile tugging at the corners of my lips as they fell down the cliff.
The sight of them plummeting, disappearing into the abyss below, should have been a satisfying spectacle. However, instead of finding satisfaction in their fall, I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that I had let them go. I should have fought harder while ensuring I got rid of Draven before Charlene saved him.
Who knows if they survive? But even if they did, Draven was basically a nobody, and he wouldn't be able to do anything anymore because no one would accept a blind king.
"Because of your foolishness, you lost them!" Rugen, my Lycan, taunted me. "Do you think you could handle this on your own?"
I initially ignored him, pretending I couldn't hear him, as I stared down the cliff. Then, I turned my back to Kylan, who lay on the ground, his life drained out of him. His pallid form remained unmoving.
