Leaning back in his chair, he picked up his phone. He needed a wingman. Someone to diffuse tension, lighten the mood, and, if things went wrong, take the heat off him. Olisa, of course, agreed immediately, though he couldn't resist teasing him about waiting until after the wedding to meet his in laws.
"No questions, Olisa. Just be there," Chibuzor said curtly, the edge in his voice leaving no room for banter.

Olaedo gathered her presentations, each stack of papers a small weapon in her arsenal for the first board meeting since the scandal three months ago.
