A sharp, splintering crack snapped Nellie awake, like someone dropped a bowling ball on her head, just hard enough to not hurt but rather startle her up, and freigthen her out of her sleep
In the moment her eyes flew open, as she was taken to the real world once more, and found herself in the same kitchen she fell asleep in.
"Ahh...am I... Nellie said, mostly disoriented from the journey to the dream world and back experiencing a long period of time in short span on time, as she around, and the first thing she saw was the bathroom door, and then above, as she saw a familiar flickering fluorescent bulb overhead.
Familiar senses crash into her, such as the smell of the house, and new ones like the sight of the cracked linoleum under her bare feet. "I-I'm finally home." She said with a smile.
