Instead of Celina climbing into that vehicle, Dalia slid into the passenger seat. Once again, it was Nathan's car waiting in the shadows.
We weren't taking any chances this time. Orion had positioned his warriors throughout the territory, each one shadowing Dalia's movements like silent guardians.
When we briefed Orion on our strategy, his response was immediate. "Consider it handled." The fury radiating from him was palpable at the thought of Dalia putting herself directly in harm's way, but my headstrong sister refused to back down. That evening, he deployed his best fighters, and combined with our own warriors, they formed an invisible net around my sister.
The driver's instructions were clear: transport Celina to the pack's border where Grant's operatives would be waiting. But the plan took an unexpected turn when he veered away from the designated meeting point, gunning the engine toward Storm Peak territory instead.
