Chapter 7 - ch 7

The southern courtyard smelled of damp stone and iron as Reinhart took his stance. The morning mist clung stubbornly to the ground, curling around training dummies and the glint of scattered weapons. Seraphine stood before him, her silver-gray eyes unwavering, as if she could see through every doubt he harbored.

" now that you got the basic of circulation, i will explain it to you properly, it is a thing student get to know after their first semester so pay more attention "

"First lesson," she said, voice like ice sliding over steel, "mana is not magic. It's life. It flows through you as naturally as air. You inhale it with intent, circulate it, and exhale the waste. Fail, and it will punish you."

Reinhart raised an eyebrow. So it's breathing as he thought. Simple enough… or maybe deceptively simple.

Seraphine extended her hand, and a small sphere of light hovered in the air between them. "Touch it," she commanded.

Reinhart placed his palm against the sphere. This time, he focused. He felt the familiar warmth, pulsing like a heartbeat — but instead of jerking back, he let it flow.

Breathe in. Mana filled him, gentle, yet alive.

Breathe out. Impurities left in a steady rhythm.

Pain flared for a moment, sharp and molten, then ebbed. He adjusted his focus, and the warmth became a steady current.

"Good," Seraphine said, her tone barely approving. "Now, amplification."

"Amplification?" Reinhart asked, curious.

"Just as a circuit can increase voltage and current with proper control, your heart acts as the capacitor of your mana." She gestured to her chest. "Your pulse is the rhythm. Let mana flow in harmony with it. Push too fast, and you'll burn out. Too slow, and it stagnates."

Reinhart closed his eyes, feeling the rhythm of his heartbeat. He imagined the current of mana expanding, filling every vessel, amplifying naturally with each pulse. The sensation was electric, a surge of energy that made his limbs tingle and vision sharpen.

"So… the heart is the amplifier. And I can… store it?" he asked.

Seraphine's lips twitched, almost a smile. "Yes. Your core, here," she said, pressing lightly against her chest, "acts like a battery. Store mana there, and it will remain ready for use. Overcharge carelessly, and you'll damage your body. Balance is everything."

Reinhart opened his eyes and felt the potential coursing inside him. It was… intoxicating. For the first time, he understood that mana wasn't some abstract energy. It was tangible. It obeyed laws, like physics, like breathing, like life itself.

"Show me," he said, determination sharpening his voice.

Seraphine handed him another sphere. "Focus. Amplify. Store."

Reinhart inhaled deeply, drawing mana into his lungs. It flowed to his heart, pulsed, surged outward, and returned, cleaner, sharper, more potent. He felt it collect in his core — a sphere of warmth and power, vibrating with controlled energy. A battery of life, ready for the asking.

Sweat beaded his forehead, but he didn't falter. He exhaled impurities with precision, feeling them leave his body like smoke.

Seraphine observed silently, then nodded once. "You learn fast. But remember: control before power. A storm inside a child's hands is only destruction."

Reinhart smiled faintly. "Then let me grow the storm carefully."

The morning mist began to dissipate, sunlight breaking over the courtyard. Reinhart's chest hummed with the rhythm of his pulse, his core alive with stored mana. The first lesson was simple, yet infinite.

This was only the beginning.

And for the first time, Reinhart didn't feel lost in this world. He felt the first spark of mastery, a promise of power waiting to be honed.

...

After half an hour he understood and began performing it neatly without any damage or mistakes

He felt like a prodigy , he imagined himself getting aura like shown in reels

But this whole thought process was stopped by a beautiful voice which pulled him to reality

It was his cold looking instructor again but his teenage harmones were acting after a long time

He felt like she was a model or something, he just kept staring at her for a few seconds and then stabilised his emotions because he isn't interested in all that cringy stuff

He started inspecting her from bottom to top and noticed that how she looked like a waifu material

" Maybe this transmigration isn't that bad after all " he thought

" Alright enough with that , you now got hang of this whole thing , now let's start your physical training. " Seraphine said calmly

Hearing this goosebumps started appearing on reinhart skin because just by her looks he could tell that training will not be easy

" You will be doing a 100 round lap around the garden " said seraphine

" Hell nah , garden is like 600 m wide "

" Alright , I will tell the duke that his glorious heir is refusing my instructions " replied seraphine to reinhart harsh words

" Yes instructor I am already on it " said reinhart as he began to run already before she could finish her sentence

Reinhart didn't know why he was so scared of Duke's anger , maybe it is original owner emotions affecting him

After whole 3 hours he completed 100 laps

Reinhart after all this layed on the ground , his body was afterall just like any teenage on earth , he didn't know how he did 100 laps but maybe it was because a beautiful women was watching him that he completed it

Then came seraphine, reinhart expected praise but all he got was " not bad , now get up for your sword practice "

After this all this , the words that came to reinhart's mind was

" There's nothing we can do "

Reinhart tried to get up to follow seraphine but as soon as he got up , he collapsed maybe because of exhaustion

And that's how reinhart's first day of training went
