They continued to walk to the kitchen in silence after that. Cerdery was still humming and the tune sounded happier than before, as if she had just won a small card game.
Meanwhile, Evangeline hung her head low, thoughts swirling around her head as she imagined Hades's face.
"You know," then Cerdery spoke up again when they stood outside the kitchen door, "Hades loves anything sweet. The sweeter it is the better that he loves it. Aren't you surprised by what a sweet tooth he is? If you ever plan on giving him gift, make him a cake."
It was the first time Eva didn't hear a statement that made her feel smaller than Cerdery but after their earlier conversation, Eva didn't stop feeling uneasy. It's because she had seen earlier during their conversation how Cerdery had answered to her questions with the look of wanting to teach her the place she should be in.
