Chapter 2 - A new dawn

Kael's soul drifted in an endless black void, dotted with distant stars that burned faintly, coldly, like eyes watching him from afar. Time had no meaning here; there was no weight, no body, no warmth—only emptiness, only the faint echo of existence.

Is this… the end?

Will I be like this ..to when ....the end of time?

Ah.....

Memories flickered in fragmented, fleeting flashes—betrayal, sorrow, endless nights of loneliness, and then death. He had once believed in hope, yet even that had been torn from him. Now, he was nothing.

A voice shattered the silence. Deep. Resonant. It vibrated through his very being.

>" A soul "

> "You should not be here"

The words made him shiver. He wanted to ask why, to plead, to protest—but no mouth, no sound existed. Only a pull, unseen and irresistible, dragging him forward through the darkness.

Everything become black

Then—light.

Blinding. Twisting. Warm. He fell through a stream of energy, the void tearing away from him as if rejecting his presence. He gasped. Air rushed into lungs that weren't his own. Warmth flooded his small body. His fingers twitched as if awakening for the first time.

His little hand touching a soft ball

connected to women

'How is she'

'Where am i'

The room he landed in was bathed in golden sunlight, streaming through tall windows. Soft, polished wooden floors reflected the light, and the faint scent of blooming flowers and fresh linens filled the air. A plush bed cradled him in thick blankets, soft against his skin.

He was alive. Not just alive—he was safe. Comfortable. Protected.

A woman leaned over him, her face warm with concern.

"Sleep well, little one," she said, her voice gentle, tender. "Your father will be happy to see you."

'The fuck are you' he think in his mind

'OHhhh so I get reborn like an what happening in novel'

Blinking against the brightness, Kai s eyes fell on a boy a few years older than him. Curious eyes watched him silently, filled with a strange mix of awe and caution.

"You're awake," the boy said softly, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips.

He gently held the baby's hand, mindful of the infant's fragility, and said

"I'm Aiden, your brother," the boy said proudly. "I've been waiting for you for long time i always wanted a little

brother."

A warm sensation bloomed in Kael's chest. This world, this family, was different. Kind. Comfortable. Safe. For the first time in what felt like forever, he felt relief.

Days passed in a gentle blur. Lady Elowen , his mother, moved gracefully through the house, always attentive, always patient.

She taught him about colors, shapes, sounds, and words, her eyes never leaving his face. Even in small gestures—tucking a blanket here, brushing a stray lock of hair there—he felt love, care, attention he had never known before.

He got from here the lack that he felt he didn't deserve

Lord Alistair, his father, was quiet but imposing. A seasoned warrior, a magic user

, his body bore the marks of battles fought long ago. His presence exuded strength, but when he noticed Kael, there was softness there, too—care wrapped in discipline, warmth in authority. He would lift Kael onto his shoulders, guide his hands as he swung a wooden practice sword, patient even when the child's motions faltered.even when he have no talent

And then there was Aiden.

Always curious. Always observant. The boy shadowed Kael in his explorations of the manor, watching him, sometimes teasing him, sometimes sharing quiet smiles. Together, they ran through hallways, played in the gardens, and fell asleep dreaming of impossible adventures.

They made a promise

" we will be the strongest duo in the kingdom and the best cards users"

After 7 years:

One afternoon, Kael noticed something unusual in the nursery. A small table, draped in deep velvet, held a neat set of cards. Each card was slightly larger than his hand, edges faintly glowing, images shifting subtly as if alive.

Kael's fingers trembled as he reached out. The moment his skin brushed a card, an image appeared in his mind—a shadowed figure holding a sword. A word hovered above it: "Warrior."

His heart thumped. He picked up another card. This one glowed a soft blue, displaying a swirling symbol he didn't understand. The word above it read: " mage"

The cards hummed faintly, warm under his fingertips. Memories of another life—fragmented, distant—stirred in his mind. He could sense strategy, awareness, knowledge beyond a child's years. These were more than toys. These were tools. Powers.

Aiden entered quietly, curiosity bright in his eyes.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

Kael's voice wavered. "I… I don't know. They just… show me things."

Aiden knelt beside him, frowning.

"What are they showing "

"Are they dangerous?"

Kael shook his head. "I don't think… maybe. I don't know yet."

The two brothers sat in silence for a moment, watching the faint glimmer of the cards. For the first time since his death, Kael felt hope.

This time… I have a chance. I won't be powerless.

Even as a child, Kael understood: these cards were more than tools. They were a system. Something alive. Something that Wille chose him but just in time everything has a time

The thought sent a shiver down his spine. He could feel echoes of his previous life whispering, shadows of the man he had once been:

Do not waste this chance. Do not be weak again. Don't let it happen again

Sunlight spilled across the nursery, casting golden patterns on the floor. Kael held a card in each hand, studying them closely. Aiden leaned over, eyes wide with excitement.

"Do you think they can… fight?" the boy whispered.

" no ...I don't think so"

Kael considered it. Maybe. I think they respond to me… to what I can do. He held a card to his chest. I will learn. I will understand.
