His body, nearly exhausted, suddenly surged with a source of energy. He unexpectedly launched himself upward, snapping a thick branch made of vines and thorns. The Elf standing on it shooting arrows suddenly lost balance and fell.
Seeing two more giants appearing, tall enough to almost block out the sun, Max's heart felt heavy.
He swung his claws to grab the falling Elf, who no longer had the mana to summon vines for movement, then returned to his clansmen's side, watching the two giants warily.
