The only pity was that Eric didn't know any incantations, and he couldn't wait for Evan to come back to ask.
It was said that incantations could help mages communicate better with the elements.
He thought of the idea that flashed in his mind last night, so he held out his palm, stared at it, and concentrated, repeating the image of a water ball in his head.
[Water ball, water ball...] Eric stared at his palm, his heart pounding. He didn't know if it would succeed, or if his guess about his elemental affinity last night was correct.
Suddenly, his palm began to feel cool. Right under his gaze, ripples suddenly appeared from thin air, gradually converging into a small stream of water, swirling and condensing into a clear water ball, the size of an apple.
"It worked! I did it!"
Eric was so happy he jumped off the bed. The water ball in his hand shattered because of his movement, and the water splashed all over him.
