Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 - Things Are Getting More Interesting, Lisa's Debut!

At the counter, Lin Yu was toying with the 10,000 Mora he had just earned.

These glittering, heavy coins were very similar to gold, with a weighty, substantial feel. Beyond being the continent's currency, they also served as a magical catalyst, making them irresistible.

However, Lin Yu had no intention of saving this Mora. Instead, he planned to test the system's lottery function.

Mora was good, but there would be plenty of income in the future.

Until now, Lin Yu hadn't even tried this feature of his system.

He wondered what kind of good stuff he could pull.

10,000 Mora for one wish—the most common tier of the lottery.

Still, the cost of a single wish was far from cheap.

Whir...

[Universal Drink Maker Obtained. Extract now?]

"Extract."

A machine resembling a refrigerator materialized next to the counter.

Simultaneously, a semi-transparent interface appeared before Lin Yu, displaying a menu of various beverages.

Coffee, cocktails, fruit tea, milk tea—it had everything.

It even included drinks like cola and sprite.

All he needed to do was purchase the basic ingredients listed.

For now, however, this item was merely a small bonus for Lin Yu.

It could become a side business for the game hall once he had more customers.

He poured a glass of warm water and brought it over to Lisa.

He saw that she was in the middle of a domain, battling Hilichurls. Her control was fluid, not at all clumsy. She even knew to first apply Pyro to the monsters with Amber, then use the Anemo Traveler's Elemental Skill to trigger a Swirl reaction.

For someone playing Genshin Impact for the first time, her game sense and operational skill could only be described as that of a gaming genius.

Noticing Lin Yu's gaze, Lisa spoke with a hint of pride.

"How about that? This older sister is pretty talented, wouldn't you say?"

Lin Yu nodded.

"Indeed, you are."

Before long, Lisa had cleared the domain and reached the end.

As planned, she destroyed the node where Stormterror's power was coalescing.

Normally, Lisa was someone who found most things to be a hassle. Compared to chores like clearing out Hilichurl camps, she much preferred to stay in the library sipping afternoon tea.

But in this mobile game, completing a domain battle and opening the ornate chest gave her a strange sense of accomplishment that she found quite addictive.

Amber appeared in the cutscene and said:

"Now that Stormterror has attacked Mondstadt directly..."

"[The winds have changed. So, too, must our tactics.]"

"That's something Lisa likes to say."

"Oh, right. About the Four Winds we discussed earlier—if you want to learn about their history, you can ask Lisa."

Lisa smiled knowingly.

It seemed that in this game's setting, she was still the erudite librarian.

Not only had the shopkeeper not tarnished her image, but he had actually highlighted her knowledge within the plot. Lisa was very pleased with this.

After exiting the domain, she followed the guidance of the mini-map straight to her next destination.

The Temple of the Wolf.

From a distance, she could see Kaeya standing at the temple's entrance.

Upon entering this domain, another character was added to the party—Kaeya.

Lisa wasn't particularly familiar with the Cavalry Captain. In their few meetings, she had sensed that there was more to this man than met the eye.

Although he had handled a great deal of trouble as the Cavalry Captain, she had never had the chance to witness his true strength.

Now that Kaeya was a playable character in this game, perhaps she could get a glimpse of his true power through his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst?

After entering the domain, Lisa immediately switched to Kaeya to fight. The results, however, were somewhat disappointing.

His Elemental Skill was a simple blast of Cryo energy, while his Elemental Burst summoned three icicles that rotated around his body.

These abilities seemed rather ordinary; other Cryo Vision holders could do the same.

Perhaps more of his secrets would be revealed as the story progressed.

As it turned out, Lisa's intuition was correct.

Just after she cleared the domain, a hidden cutscene began to play.

After sending the traveler off, Kaeya's expression suddenly turned sharp and cold.

His gaze fell upon a spot behind a stone pillar as he spoke icily:

"I was just wondering how Hilichurls could possess the intelligence for a premeditated ambush."

"So it was you pulling the strings from behind."

As his words fell, a wicked laugh echoed, and a Hydro Abyss Mage emerged from the shadows.

It began to chant an ancient spell, gathering Hydro energy around itself.

Just then, several roaring jets of flame shot forth!

Following the fire, a red-haired man launched a swift assault.

Wielding a greatsword with one hand, he struck down the Abyss Mage in just a few blows.

It all happened in a flash.

Afterward, the red-haired man spoke with indifference, "The Knights of Favonius are as inefficient as ever."

"No matter. Now that you've been dragged into this, things have just become more interesting," Kaeya said, a meaningful look on his face.

The cutscene ended there.

Lisa's expression grew pensive.

Just as Kaeya had said, things were indeed getting more and more interesting.

Following her and Jean's appearance, even Diluc had now made his debut in the game.

As far as Lisa knew, if that man ever found out his likeness was being used in a game—and one that involved certain secret plots—he would undoubtedly come to investigate personally.

When that time comes, young shopkeeper, how will you handle it?

Lisa was curious about what the future held, but for now, she needed to focus on the game before her.

Next was the final Temple of the Four Winds.

And the 'Quest Guide' in the top-left corner prompted: Meet Lisa at the temple entrance.

So, it's finally my turn to take the stage.

Lisa was well aware of her own abilities.

She certainly hoped the shopkeeper hadn't made her too weak in his game.
