C102: End to it all Pt9, Final Clear

9/18/26

------------------------------------------------------------

Having heard all the scandalous details that my now late wife had gone through in her vampiric childhood, I had finished evaporating all life in the rest of the world. And no, slugs and worms do not have souls so you may freely torture and kill them as you wish, they just respawn per usual.

One by one, the various lands were laid clean of beasthood and monstrosities: Forbidden forest, Byrgenwerth, Lecture Halls x 2, Nightmare Frontier, Hypogean Gaol, Mensis.

Hundreds of people have died yet not a single drop of blood can be found anywhere as all traces of them vanish into thin air. Smoke filling the damp air of Yharnam is all that remains. The sole trace that these people existed, yet that too will disappear in time.

The world grows more hollow with every death, yet my path remains unstoppable. My every action is only another step towards a world free of suffering. A world where I would be alone. No, not alone. I would have Doll by my side, and all the messengers. It would be monotonous but not lonely. I'm a creator of life afterall. I have Gerald, 2B and the still unhatched snake egg.

With my job finished, there are only two last obstacles left, the top most section of Mergo's loft. Where the child itself rests in the care of the wet-nurse. And that one. The Cleric Beast.

Yes, the Cleric Beast, I finally found it again after so long. It seems an Amygdala caught it and brought it to the Nightmare Frontier where it became no more than a docile pet, occasionally hunting down the random tentacle worm creature that respawn.

From brief analysis, I could see that its willpower had been ground down to the level of a mindless beast again. It had certainly grown stronger since I last saw it. I think it was around level 40 when I beat it up and then left it alive. It's now at level 69. Nice but still gotta put'em down, before they break the sacred number.

Afterall, it's a long way to 420 for this guy, if he could even get past 100 in the first place. So it's better to put the sad guy out of his misery.

I still deeply resent him but after what happened on that beach, I struggle to rouse any anger of my own. Perpetrating the cycle of hate has grown tiresome. It's better to simply consider it as my job.

I step before the beast that towers over me comparable to a four storey building, sitting down on his ass at that.

It looks to me, I can see the instinctive fear it holds for me from its last beating, the same one where I promised it endless pain and suffering for what it did to my sister. I still have that urge at the back of my head to at least dismember the beast before killing it. But I crush that down and see what it does.

Which is nothing, It swirls its claws in the grody poison water which I'm standing atop via an ice platform but I can see that at most it is just stabbing newborn worms, preventing them from growing into those giant ugly tentacle squirming things. If I hadn't already been causing mass expiration onto the population of Yharnam, I might have allowed this guy to live just so he could be my residential exterminator for bugs and such.

Unfortunately it's time to do what I yabba dabba gotta do.

Bringing out the moonlight greatsword, I swipe it to the side of myself and a shimmering azure manifests, expanding the blade into a beautiful moonlight gravesword. I infuse my mana into the blade and the blue green hue becomes tainted in a faint purple due to my progressively increasing chaos comprehension which has begun to naturally dye my mana in purple. A massive chaos effect on all my spells and mana usage.

Once I gather up around 300 of my near 800 mana. I swing the blade with all the force of my Rage of the gods skill. The Cleric Beast offers no resistance to my obvious attack. In fact it shakes out its hair along its neck which reveals an array of scars that look akin to what deep scratches from it's own claws.

Through a few bits of ambient telepathic connections that my magic allows, I can tell that this beast too tried to commit Seppukku, except I succeed ... .kind of.

Setting aside its simple actions of preparing its scar clad for my magic coated blade to pass through, was still less helpful than a single instance of Clippy helping me guess my own password in the early 2000s.

Dumm dummn

But just like Clippy, the Cleric Beast finally dies. His heavy body collapses to the side with its head causing its own splash into the poisonous water. It was a simple and tragic death. Having lived a life of misery while knowing fully of what a monstrosity the church he sided on was. He fell to the blade of calm stoicism, the blade of a proper hunter, set in his duties rather than the previous vengeance he promised before.

With only one thing left, essentially the finale of my duty. I return to Central Yharnam and climb onto a nearby rooftop to stare into the sky as I ponder what would be of me once this is all over.

I look at my status, my weakened state compared to what I could do before which I don't feel all that saddened by. More so due to a lack of actual care than being upset about being weakened, especially after figuring out that I was just unable to even use all my actual strength from that 'peak state'.

I quickly switch to my pet system where I observe the state of both Gerald and 2B. Some time ago, during my Yharnam wide hunt, I had released them both so that Gerald could train against 2B on his elemental skills.

I now look through the system again and read through some of the descriptions on the gacha pets and mutations I unlocked.

[Worm module-common grade-a simple parasite creature that can merge with a target pet to enhance all aspects of said target. The module may also be concentrated on specific limbs to enhance said limbs for enhanced power. Multiple Worm modules can be merged together to increase rarity and increase the number of traits that can be attached to said module. 0/0 traits can be attached to the worm module.]

"Huh, I thought these were simply parasites like Nemesis Tendril of zombification. Thats how I set them up in 2B so that she essentially had a tentacle for grappling or being used as a grappling hook. But it seems they can provide overall boosts to the host. I also missed out on the fact that these 'modules' could merge together for higher grades. I have alot of them." I talk to myself to formulate my thoughts as I bring up the menu for all my stored up worm modules. I had 19 of them from just my free pulls I got from when I first got this function from the Aberration rune stone.

I see that I must merge two modules of the same rank to get a higher up. This means, I need two to get uncommon grades and I still have 0/0 traits that can be merged. But when I increase this to four worms, I get 0/1 possible traits and learn that it can actually use any and all traits I have in storage. For now I keep going and at 8 worms, I have a rare worm which has 0/2 trait slots and I feel this is the best version for now.

After a few moments of scanning my storage. I find the symbiosis trait which enhances the relationship between 2 parties, which in this case would be the worm and one of my pets.

'Hmmm. I could do something like pustulating force which could increase melee attacks and slap that onto the worm before focusing the worm onto her arms so that her attacks are stronger'

I plan out the function of the worm until I remember Gerald and the initial idea of making him a full elemental but limited in necessary slots to do so. But I now see that I can attach up to three worms per pet, since I already put one in 2B at its most basic state. I am saddened before realizing that I could attach a few epics grade worms to Gerald with elemental affinities and Gerald, through symbiosis trait could manipulate everything he needs to be elemental supreme.

That makes me feel good. So I get up and start making my way to Mergo's loft while playing the gacha in my pet system, obtaining dozens more worm modules and the necessary elemental affinities. I even get one extra for Light affinity, which I slap on a worm and give to 2B whilst getting side tracked and essentially installing a solar panel inside her which she can use the worm to help power her up should anything happen to her magically augmented BoltCore.

The light magic also feels thematically appropriate due to having Nier: Replicant before. While the grimoire you get is for 'Dark magic', it didn't feel dark at all in that game and instead was quite bright with spears of light, rapid fire balls of magic energy and so much more that I totally avoided because the spears were Goated with the sauce.

But im getting side tracked again, 2B got some magic. I got Gerald set up, all nice and juicy, so he only needs to practice with his abilities alongside 2B. I leave them behind near the lamp before taking my elevator ride up.

The loft is fairly empty due to my previous illuminate/chaos minions corrupting other enemies. I get a few items along the way, mostly blood vials from the few pig enemies that for some reason weren't corrupted. Maybe they were killed by the cultists just for existing near them and they only realized that was the case when my guys attacked them.

A few blood gems from the corpses of the cultists too which is why I believe the pigs fought them and died shortly after due to injuries or a second cultist finishing them off before my guys did their job.

Ah, when I refer to the cultists, I mean the normie shadows of Yharnam that hang around here. I also referred to them as the illuminate enemies. As for why they are normies? Well, they don't have pet snakes thrusting in and out of their asses like anal obsessed femboys like the ones in Forbidden Forest before arriving at Byrgenwerth.

I don't find much else here except a blood stone chunk or two, useful since I just don't realize that I have never upgraded 2B's weapons. I crafted them, enchanted them with magic but completely forgot about using blood stone pieces on them. That too for Gerald's sword which I gave him a long time ago that he didn't use much. He still is unlikely to do so but I should at least give him something to use in case he runs out of mana.

Pushing my thoughts aside as I step just outside the Lunarium that houses a child elder god and his Egyptian belly dancer nurse. Though it's not the fight that causes me to pause here. It's her. Queen Yharnam. Standing right in front of the entrance, gazing out at the blood red moon. She turns to me and curtsies before returning her gaze

"Are you the same one I met in the chalice dungeons or was that an echo of you?" I ask.

"Met, we have not. Know you, I do. What action, you will take?" She speaks but completely different from the way she did back in the chalice dungeons. Is it some sort of split personality? Why is this one Yoda?

"I see. Well, truth be told, I just want to get this all over with. So in that manner. I'll do what is necessary." I say with a bookish tone, my eyes tracing the queens figure. Making sure she doesnt suddenly attack me as I make my way to the Lunarium itself. I could go to the other side and activate the lamp there but it's better to treat it as if I only have one life. With recent events, I have no reason to trust the system anymore unless it gives me physical items.

Which is why I made some purchases on the way here and upgraded my 'pets' who are also nearby. I have everything I could ever need as I am.

I step forward and take the lift up. I adjust my hat as small beads of sweat seep out due to my nerves as I prepare myself mentally for what is to come.

At the top I step out of the cage and enter the Lunarium.

I see a baby carriage in the center of the room. I don't approach just yet. I bide my time, just for a moment as I activate one of the new neutral chaos skills in my soul, thus affecting me only. Not that it matters much since it still works whether it only affects me or everything.

Afterall, it's [Translation].

As I feel the Chaos energy flow over me and my body adjusts to its rules. I speak up.

"Mergo, I've come to Bargain."

Word Count = 2356

just a quick reminder that we are only at 21 stones of the 150 required. The few of you here dont need to give all 3 stones all the time. your welcome to just give 1 every so often to build it up over time and still get your reward once its done. This has multiple phases so its not a one stop shop here.

Im here for the long haul so we have plenty of time to go through everything, bit by bit.

Enjoy
