Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Sharingan Windmill Shuriken—Triple Sword Strike!

Chapter 60: Sharingan Windmill Shuriken—Triple Sword Strike!

The katana pierced through the air, ripping through the wind with a sharp whistle!

It suddenly shot toward the Jashin Cult squad captain Hideaki, who stood at the edge of the fortress wall, near the cliff base.

This strike completely caught his opponent off guard. Seeing Tsukasa leap upward, Hideaki had expected him to demonstrate some dual-blade technique, closing the distance and diving into the crowd.

Such close-quarters entanglement would force the Jashin Cult members to be wary of friendly fire, preventing them from freely deploying ninjutsu.

While this kid's swordsmanship and taijutsu skills didn't appear exceptional, they were more than sufficient against the rogue and missing-nin of the Land of Hot Water.

But why throw away a sword?

Wouldn't that just mean losing a weapon for nothing?

For a moment, the Jashin Cult captain pondered many possibilities, but in that split second, the blade was already upon him.

His eyes widened as he stared at the cold, gleaming edge before him.

He grabbed the collar of his subordinate Masato, who had just run to his side, and threw him forward. He then immediately performed a tactical backward dodge, arching his spine and dropping into a split.

Whoosh!

Thunk!

The katana pierced through the cult captain's loyal subordinate like tissue paper, then, without losing momentum, embedded itself deeply into the cliff face.

"Captain, you... why..." Masato suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood, spraying it across the captain's face. His eyes filled with disbelief, as if he had many questions left to ask.

But then, his eyes closed forever.

Squad Captain Hideaki narrowed his eyes, staring at the blade mere inches from his forehead, his heart still racing with lingering fear.

Fortunately, he still had his loyal subordinate to block that strike.

And now the enemy had lost a weapon. He only needed to order his teams to use ninjutsu for covering fire.

He doubted that defensive technique—similar to Earth Release: Hardening—could last much longer under sustained bombardment.

But then—

Snap!

Hideaki's head suddenly jerked as he noticed a jet-black thread attached to the katana's handle suddenly go taut!

The next instant,

A whirling blue blade light suddenly blazed to life!

Like a wildly spinning windmill, it suddenly traversed dozens of meters through the air, roaring down like a runaway freight train!

"What is that?!"

"What the hell is that thing?!"

"So fast! How is it so fast?!"

The Jashin Cult Genin stood frozen, watching as Tsukasa, suspended in midair, was suddenly pulled by the taut wire thread. Using this momentum, he instantly adjusted his posture, blade extended, transforming himself into a spinning windmill.

Tsukasa spun once more in midair, rapidly closing the distance.

But this wire-pull clearly wasn't providing enough momentum to replicate Captain Levi's signature spinning blade attack from the Titan-slaying corps.

So he chose to use the rotational inertia to throw his second blade.

The ninja sword in his hand was essentially just an oversized kunai anyway.

In an instant!

The ninja blade pierced through the air, and before the horrified gaze of Jashin Cult Captain Hideaki, it stabbed into his back as he remained in his backward lean.

"Gyaaaah!"

Amidst the agonized scream, Tsukasa descended from midair, planting his foot on his opponent's chest. He pulled out the ninja blade and smoothly returned it to his waist.

Without even glancing at his opponent's resentful expression, he kicked the man over, flipping him onto his stomach. With a quick backward glance, he snatched the ninja tool pouch from the captain's waist. After weighing it briefly, Tsukasa's face lit up with satisfaction.

As expected of a squad leader—his pouch contained a full seventeen shuriken, three kunai, and about seven or eight needle-shaped senbon.

Not bad. Quite good actually.

And Tsukasa with ninja tools versus without them were two completely different combatants.

Next, he would unleash his full offensive capability!

Tsukasa fastened the ninja tool pouch to his waist, his Sharingan eyes tracking upward, rapidly locking onto the positions of all remaining ninja present.

He drew four shuriken in each hand and flung them outward.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

In an instant!

Eight shuriken shot out in seemingly chaotic yet potentially lethal trajectories!

And this was only the beginning.

Under Tsukasa's continuous manipulation,

Within three seconds,

All seventeen shuriken, three kunai, and seven senbon were unleashed in rapid succession.

Their tails connected to inky black Earth Grudge Fear threads, dancing through the air in patterns that made onlookers' scalps tingle with dread.

But this wasn't the end.

Tsukasa then improvised with available resources. He slapped the cliff face, shattering chunks of rock. The falling debris was immediately followed up by Tsukasa's throwing motions.

Stones, rubble, Jashin Cult Captain Hideaki's sword sheath, his sandals, the metal plate from his forehead protector.

He reached back again and snatched the ninja tool pouch from the waist of the now-deceased Jashin Cult member Masato.

This one was relatively poor,

Containing only six shuriken.

Tsukasa frowned, not bothering to voice his disappointment at the meager supplies.

"Whatever!"

He roared,

"Take everything I've got and throw it all back at you!"

As soon as he finished speaking,

Under the astonished gazes of the Jashin Cult ninja, this kid in the tattered black cloak had shot down their Chunin squad leader with two consecutive sword strikes—

Damn it, since when were swords used as projectiles?!

Without time to ponder this absurd question,

Five seconds later,

They looked up in horror to find a dense, overwhelming barrage rising before them.

Shadows leaped across the sky, and the sun suddenly dimmed.

"What the hell is wrong with this kid?!"

The Jashin Cult ninja's breath caught in their throats,

Their eyes filled with terror and inexplicable shock.

How could one person throw as much as an entire squad combined?!

The Jashin Cult ninja were already no match for Tsukasa's speed, and with their leader taken down, they lost all coordination and immediately

Fell into complete disarray.

"Take cover, take cover!"

"Damn it, this guy's firepower is insane!"

"Quickly, get behind the battlements—it's a blind spot, his shuriken can't reach there!"

"If you really can't make it, hit the ground!"

"Wait, I'm behind the battlements, so how can his shuriken curve around corners?!"

"Gyaaaaaaah!"

The scene descended into chaos.

When the barrage finally ended, only six ninja remained standing.

However, before these six could celebrate their survival,

Tsukasa suddenly revealed a sinister grin,

Clenched three wire threads between his teeth, and performed a tactical backward leap!

His ten fingers flexed, then suddenly pulled!

"Sharingan Windmill Shuriken—Triple Sword Strike!"

The dense mass of projectiles scattered across the battlefield suddenly snapped to attention, their tails illuminated by black wire threads.

The threads suddenly pulled taut, straightening.

Snap! Snap! Snap! Snap!

The ninja tools reversed direction, the threads executing a deadly secondary attack hidden within the chaos,

Binding all the ninja who had risen to their feet directly to the battlements.

Tighten, constrict!

CRASH!

The protruding battlements of the fortress wall shattered under the thread tension, and massive stone blocks plummeted down the wall face.

Dust and debris erupted, and the tremendous commotion drew every eye from throughout the fortress.

"Phew!" Tsukasa rubbed his aching temples and released a deep breath.

"That kind of spectacle should be plenty eye-catching."

This was his first time manipulating so many wire threads simultaneously.

However, the results seemed quite effective.

In the original series, when young Sasuke used this same technique, he could only bind his targets.

But in Tsukasa's hands, it had become a devastating killing technique.

Tsukasa glanced back solemnly, looking down at the wall below.

There, twelve elite Jashin Cult members were rushing toward his position at high speed.

"Now then—time for the chase sequence."
