Inside her room, Nakano Nino sat before her vanity mirror, lips pursed as she carefully traced a soft shade of pink lipstick across them.
Her natural beauty was undeniable — even without makeup, she could outshine most girls.
But still, as a girl, how could she not want to look her best — especially today?
Her heart thumped softly with every brush stroke.
After finishing, she took a breath, stood up, and began to change.
Her pajamas slipped off her shoulders, replaced by a black corset blouse that hugged her curves, an X-shaped ribbon tied elegantly around her neck.
Below, a zebra-patterned skirt that clung just right, showing her slender waist and long legs.
Then, she tied her signature black bows to both sides of her hair, completing the look.
When she finally looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but smile shyly.
Her reflection looked like something straight out of a fashion magazine.
"…Perfect," she whispered softly, cheeks faintly pink.
Sliding her feet into high heels, she walked quietly to the door, glancing around like a spy on a mission.
The hallway was silent. No footsteps. No voices.
"Good… they're not awake yet," she muttered under her breath.
She turned the doorknob slowly — click.
Then, tiptoeing carefully, she made her way down the stairs.
If her four sisters saw her dressed like this, she knew what would happen — endless teasing and questioning.
And the last thing she wanted was for them to find out she had a date.
So, secrecy was her only option.
But what she didn't realize was that…
Her suspicious behavior had already drawn attention.
...
Upstairs —
The Nakano Sisters' Spy Operation begin,
Behind the slightly open door of Yotsuba's room, four heads peeked out one above the other like a cartoon totem pole.
At the bottom was Ichika, next Miku, then Yotsuba, and at the very top, a sleepy Itsuki with messy hair and a bag of chips still in hand.
They all stared at Nino, who was quietly walking down the stairs, heels clicking softly against the floor.
Ichika whispered, "You guys think Nino's going to see that handsome guy again?"
Miku nodded slightly, her tone low and serious. "Most likely. I can't imagine her dressing up like that for anyone else."
Yotsuba frowned. "Then should we… follow her again? I promised someone I'd go shopping today, though…"
Itsuki munched on another chip, already halfway back into the room. "I'm not going anywhere. You girls can play spy all you want, I'll just stay home and eat."
Miku sighed. "I also have something to do later. There's a new Sengoku game releasing this afternoon. I'm not missing that."
Ichika turned to her with a smirk. "Since when do you care so much about the Sengoku period, Miku?"
Miku's face went slightly red. "It's just… interesting, okay? And don't tell anyone!"
Ichika chuckled quietly. "Fine, fine. My lips are sealed."
Seeing no one else was willing, she sighed.
"I guess I'll just stay home too. No point tailing Nino alone."
The sisters one by one retreated into their rooms, and peace returned to the Nakano apartment.
.....
Nino finally reached the elevator, clutching her purse tightly as she looked left and right.
After confirming the coast was clear, she stepped in and pressed the ground floor button.
Her reflection in the elevator doors smiled back at her nervously.
"Whew… they didn't follow."
Still, she could feel her pulse quickening.
She didn't even know why she wanted to keep this from them.
Maybe it was pride, maybe embarrassment…
Or maybe — as Gojo might say — it was that classic tsundere thing.
The elevator dinged, and the doors opened.
The cool morning air greeted her as she stepped out of the building, her heels clicking softly against the pavement.
The world outside was bright and alive — the city of Magano-Tokyo, where human and exorcist realms overlapped in strange harmony.
It was a world where ordinary people walked the same streets as Onmyoji, and cursed spirits known as Kegare lurked in the shadows.
And somewhere out there, waiting for her, was him.
After walking for a few minutes, she spotted a familiar tall figure by the gate.
That trademark white hair practically shimmered in the sunlight.
Her lips curved into a smile. "Gojo-kun!"
.....
Hearing his name, Gojo Satoru turned around.
His blindfold glimmered faintly under the morning sun, and a small grin tugged at his lips.
"Well, if it isn't cute Nino," he teased quietly in his mind.
As Nino approached, a faint floral scent drifted through the air.
She was radiant — confident, elegant, yet with a bashful energy that made Gojo chuckle softly.
"Dressing up so beautifully today… you're making me feel inferior," Gojo said, hands in pockets, pretending to look offended.
Nino rolled her eyes, a small pout forming.
"Don't say weird things first thing in the morning."
But her cheeks glowed faintly pink.
Inside, her heart was fluttering like a trapped bird.
She crossed her arms, looking aside. "So… where are we going today?"
"Huh? Didn't you plan it?" Gojo tilted his head, pretending to think.
"What? I asked you out, but you didn't plan anything?"
Gojo grinned beneath his blindfold.
"How about a café? Somewhere quiet. No cursed spirits, no screaming exorcists."
"That's fine," Nino replied quickly. "As long as it's not one of those maid cafés."
"Of course not," he said, smirking slightly. "I've learned my lesson."
(Last time, they accidentally ended up in a maid café — and Nino didn't talk to him for two days.)
.....
On the Road,
"Hop in," Gojo said, gesturing at his black Kawasaki motorbike.
(T/N: His vehicles are keep on changing...)
He leaned slightly, tapping the seat behind him. "Get in my roadster."
Nino blinked. "This isn't a roadster. It's a bike, Gojo-kun."
He shrugged. " Tomayto, tomahto."
With a sigh, Nino straightened her skirt and carefully climbed on.
For a moment, she hesitated — her hand hovering uncertainly over his back.
Then, blushing furiously, she wrapped her arms around his waist.
Her voice came out small and defensive. "D-Don't get the wrong idea. I just… don't want to fall off."
"Of course," Gojo chuckled. "Hold on tight anyway."
He moment he started the engine — vroom — the world around them blurred into motion.
The city's skyline flashed past, filled with banners of the Exorcist Union and temples built to ward off Kegare.
This was a world stitched together — Twin Star Exorcists' Magano, the modern streets of Sobu High's town, and even fragments of Jujutsu Tokyo — a chaotic fusion of universes where reality danced between the sacred and absurd.
The wind rushed against Nino's face.
Her eyes softened as she looked at the horizon.
"This… isn't so bad," she whispered.
...
After some time, they stopped at a quiet café overlooking a river.
The place had a peaceful charm — wooden chairs, soft music, and sunlight glinting off the water.
Gojo parked the bike and glanced at her. "You okay?"
Nino nodded, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Yeah. Just… thinking."
He smiled knowingly. "About how amazing I am?"
She gave him a light punch on the arm. "About how annoying you are."
Gojo laughed softly, removing his blindfold just enough for his eyes to peek through — those shimmering, endless blue eyes that seemed to see through everything.
"Careful," he said playfully. "You'll fall for me again."
Nino's face turned bright red. "I never said I fell for you in the first place!"
But her voice cracked slightly, betraying her emotions.
Gojo leaned back in his chair, sipping his coffee.
"Tokyo has been unusually quiet lately," he said thoughtfully. "Almost too quiet. Makes me wonder if something big's brewing."
Nino frowned slightly. "You mean… the filth (Kegare) ?"
He nodded. "Yeah. The balance between worlds feels strange. Some people has noticed it too."
For a moment, the air between them grew serious.
The laughter, the teasing — it all faded into the background.
Then, Nino reached across the table, her hand resting near his.
"Even if something does happen… you'll handle it, right?"
Gojo smiled softly — genuinely. "Of course. I always do."
And in that fleeting moment, the world outside seemed peaceful again.
Maybe, just maybe, amidst all the chaos of this mixed world — a simple morning date could still feel like a small piece of normal happiness.
