For a moment, Eryx just stared at her. Then his expression softened completely. Disbelief flasbed through his eyes. A slow smile spread across his face, wide and unguarded, like someone who had just been handed everything he'd ever wished for and more.
Like the moon goddess herself had looked down and said 'here… this is yours.'
"Do you have any idea," he murmured, "what it means to hear that from you?"
His thumb brushed gently along her jaw, carefully. "You just confessed like it was a sin," he said softly. "When to me it sounds like a blessing."
