Danzai and Kim walked back to the cell to sort out thier stuff in preparation to leave. As Zeo slightly glanced at Kim for a split second while pushing the wheelchair, thier eyes met each other and Zeo turned immediately. But Kim on the other hand stared intently at him showcasing his jade green eyes that resembled the elfs. After staring for about a minute,zeo got uncomfortable and asked
"Why are you looking at me like that, the viewers will get funny ideas in their heads"
But he didn't stop
A group of inmates from another cell passed by and saw them in a serious situation and greeted them
"Have a nice life..."
"Hey Kim..."
"Sorry. I just can't believe you shouted at influencers"
"If i didn't do that, you would have been in the afterlife by now "
Back at the conference room,the influencers continue their bid on the inmates located in other part of the country to add to their arsenal.the biggest influencer by the name gigs was still trying to soothe his anger against zeo after the insult he got. according to him he was lucky enough to have been bought by anyone at this point.
Saki bought only two people today for the first time in one year which was a record on it's own
The last time saki had bought someone before today was a Year ago and it meant there was a reason for his actions today. What saki didn't understand was why someone who could see the future was left behind for three whole years
"'To become God' huh..."
Zeo glanced at the novel given to him from one of the inmates who had just finished packing up was prepared to leave
Why me though
"It's because both of you fight to protect not to kill"
Zeo was more concerned about the fact that the guy had just read his mind and if what he thought was true,then he has been reading his mind from when he came
"Hey, can you read minds?"
"Oh yeah"
"Creepy... you're a stalker"
"I get that a lot"
Kim had just finished packing up his things with zeo left but he had only stayed a few days so he didn't really have a lot to gather. Nevertheless,he grabbed whatever he had and walked out, waving the executioner while pushing Kim on his wheelchair
The amber colored lights reflected through the window of the car and landed at his feet as if greeting it's master. They had seperated from each other, his first friends, promising to see each other once the new era was over but no one actually knew what the new era was and if anyone would survive it.
Kim had borrowed the novel given to zeo and was reading through it. He stumbled upon a part that caught his eye and showed zeo
"Hey look, the main character was a soldier. Did you ever try doing that?"
"I didn't finish high school remember..."
"Oh right"
It would have been nice though. Oh well... I've to focus on surviving this new era by all means
Zeo looked at buildings passed by like the seasons of the world and remembered his parents. Almost immediately, he jolted to his feet but hit his head against the roof of the car
"What happened"
"My mom..."
He sat down when he realized what the police had told him when they came to arrest him
The journey continued peacefully until they got to a part of the city that seemed different from where they had come from.
The technology was far more advanced than any place he had seen up until now. The floors were almost see through and the buildings were both aircrafts and buildings for dual purposes. While zeo and kim observed the view, one of the guard makes a call to the HQ of this place and minutes later,a girl walked over and opened the gate for them while checking through their cards for reference with halographic technologies. She walked them to the first building to get themselves registered.
After filling the necessary information, they turned and followed her to another section of the city were weapons are made
While they walked, zeo decided to ask the girl about their whereabouts
"Um.. please were are we?"
"Defenders guild..."
Zeo felt somewhat excited that his new life was beginning,but what he couldn't shake off the feeling of danger after considering the upcoming new era
