Ilaya felt that she finally found another clue to her past. She was happy, sad, and confused at the same time. The woman from Ivana's story really resonates with her. She felt that she knew the woman, but at the same time, she did not
'I'm connected to the house where the woman lived. So, is it possible… no, I'm definitely connected to that woman. I really need to search that house for clues!'
As Ilaya was preoccupied with her thought, Ivana said to her
"So, did you figure out something?"
Ilaya looked at her before saying in confusion
"I feel that… I'm connected to that woman. But that's about it. I can't really remember anything about myself"
Ilaya then hesitated for a bit before asking sadly
"Kyora. What do you think is my connection to that woman? You said that I look just like her, so… is it possible that she's my family?"
Ilaya's mood then turned mournful. She really wants to find her family too aside from remembering her past. Now that she learned that the woman was her possible family. She couldn't help but turned sad for not having a clue to find them
Ivana said to her in an unsure tone
"Im not really sure about your connection to that woman. But, I suspect that you are her child"
As Ivana saw Ilaya turned hopeful, she immediately said
"Of course, that's only a suspicion. I have no concrete evidence that… No. Actually, we do"
Ivana then looked at the rings on the table as she grabbed and compared them. She then said to Ilaya
"These rings are proof that you had a connection to the woman. It's really the same in appearance. You said that this ring was already in your hand when you woke up?"
Ilaya also looked at the ring as she said
"Yes, I didn't even notice it when I woke up. I only noticed it when I am resting"
Then, Ilaya seemed to think something as she asked
"Kyora, are you the landlord of that old house? Yamato said he will talk to the landlord when I said to him that I wanted to rent the house"
Ilaya had a hunch already, but she wanted to confirm it. Ivana then give the necklace with the ring to Ilaya while saying
"Yes. It's our property anyway. The woman just lived in that house. Of course, if she returns, I have no problem returning the ownership of the house to her again. We owe her that much to be that petty"
Then, Ivana smirked as she said to Ilaya
"But now that you are here, we can finally open that house. The woman once told my grandfather not to open the house, so we respected her wish. But now that she's gone, and there's you, her possible child. Who's looking for clues to remember her past. I'll be generous and will give you permission to explore the house sooner or later"
They turned silent with Ivana grinning and Ilaya sulking. They then turned towards their next topic. Ilaya asked Ivana first before she can asked something
"About our powers. What do you know about it and how much do you know?"
Ivana then grabbed the handle of the dagger that was stabbed at the table. Then, she pulled it out while saying to Ilaya
"There's something that I know, though, I'm not really sure about it. For all my life, I only thought that I was the only one who had this strange power. But when I observed you across the street, I felt a subtle pull towards you that didn't happen in my experience"
Ivana then toss the dagger up and down as she looked at it while continuing her explanation
"That's the time when I thought that maybe, I'm not the only one who had a power. So, when I heard that you had been kidnapped. I immediately launched a search and rescue operation to get you. I need someone who have a power to study our condition and figure things how our powers worked"
Ivana then turned to face Ilaya as she asked her curiously
"Ilaya, what are your powers?"
Ilaya hesitated if she's going to answer her. Although she knows that they both have powers. She still retains her basic vigilance about telling someone of her power. Ivana saw her hesitation as she said
"My power is being able to see the weakness of living creatures. What I saw is a blob of color in the body parts of creatures. Whether be it an aerial, land, or marine creatures. It terms of human…"
Ivana then peered at Ilaya's body as she said
"I see red in the vital areas of the body, green in the parts that are flexible like joints. There's a lot of things that I can see from the human body that it will take us an hour trying to discuss it"
Ivana glance at her and said flatly
"Are you going to say it now? I'd be disappointed if you still didn't want to speak about it"
Ilaya hesitated, then took a deep breath before saying
"I… can enhance all of my senses. I can see far away, differentiate the smells to track something, remember the taste of all that I consumed, hear all the sounds around me, and sense the body heat around me. I can also use it to locate the muscles that I don't use and use it for explosive strength. My powers have so many uses, but I don't know how to use many of them yet"
As Ilaya finished speaking, she felt tired all of the sudden. She really wanted to go to her bed and sleep, but Ivana is still here. It's kind of rude to leave her alone like this when she's the one who gave her help
Ivana became thoughtful for a moment before saying
"So, you're saying that you can enhance all of your senses? That's quite powerful. Although it's not something destructive, you can practically use it in every situation. If you master it, you can basically dance around the battlefield. Of course, not in a gunfight. The bullets will reach you before you can do something"
Ivana thought of something before saying
"Of course, there's limitations too. As for me, I will not be able to see for about an hour after I overuse my power. My current limit is about 30 minutes before my sight turns black"
Ivana chuckled as she said
"I almost died when I found that out. Thankfully, I managed to crawl under a car before the enemies arrived"
Ilaya looked at her dumbfounded. She couldn't help but say in her mind
'Is that really something to laugh about?'
Then, Ilaya reciprocated as she said
"My limitation is that my eyes hurt if I use my farsight continuously. I believed that my eyes would be injured if I overused it. For my hearing. If I continuously use it, there's a ringing in my ears and I can't hear anything except that ringing"
Then, Ilaya complained to Ivana
"I think you already have an idea about my limitations. So I'm not going to describe all of it"
Ivana nodded as she looked at her and said
"Yes, it's pretty much self explanatory. What I'm curious about is what you said about the whispers in the hospital"
Then, Ivana looked at her seriously before asking
"What's about the whispers?"
