"You've played exceptionally well in the first half," he said, his voice echoing through the room. "But we still have two quarter left, and we must finish strong. Aisa, I want you to take charge in the third quarter. Show them the true meaning of helplessness"

Aisa nodded, her expression steely and resolute. "Understood, Coach"

Coach Tunde clapped his hands together, his smile widening. "Let's bring home the W!"

The team's chorus of affirmation filled the locker room, their spirits lifted by their coach's confidence

In the Queens' locker room, the atmosphere was similarly electric. Mrs. Lawal surveyed her team with a mixture of admiration and resolve

"You've all played a phenomenal game thus far." She said, her voice ringing with authority. "But the true test begins in the third quarter. Based on their recent matches, I believe that the Rose Mary High will unleash their ace. Tosin, I'm counting on you to hold the line."

Tosin nodded, her face set in a determined frown. "I won't let you down, coach"

Mrs. Lawal grinned, her eyes shining with anticipation. "We've made it this far. Now, let's seal the deal and claim the victory!"

The Queens responded with a resounding cheer; their spirits buoyed by their coach's unwavering belief in their abilities.

As the players stepped on the court, the Queens huddled together for a final pep talk before the second half commenced. Tosin, their Captain and ace, took charge, her voice filled with unwavering determination, Listen up, Queens! We're going to give them a passionate ride to destruction city!"

Her teammates responded with a thunderous cheer; their spirits invigorated by Tosin's infectious enthusiasm

"Alright, let's go! 3! 2! 1! Charlie Queens! Fight!" Tosin yelled, the Queens' energy reaching its peak as they prepare to take the court

"YEAH!" The Queens chorused, their voice echoing throughout the arena as they broke from their huddle

With both teams in position and ready to battle, a sudden burst of deafening cheers erupted from a part of the arena. The staffs and students of Rose Mary High School had just arrived, their presence infusing the atmosphere with excitement

Aisa, Rose Mary High School's ace couldn't help but smile at the sight. "Wow! They came today as well?"

Aanu, her teammate, shared her surprise. "I didn't expect them to show up today. They've never been this late before"

Aisa's grin widened; her competitive spirit ignited. "Well, since they are here, let's give them something to cheer for!"

Her team chorused their agreement, their energy bolstered by the arrival of their supporters. As the third quarter began, the Rose Mary High School Team, took possession of the ball, with Vicky skillfully dribbling the ball up the court

Meanwhile, Mrs. Lawal, the Queens' coach, turned to Oluchi, her voice laced with concern. "Oluchi, remember when I said we can't win if we can't stop Aisa and Hannah?"

Oluchi's eyes widened, curiosity mingling with determination. "Yes, Coach"

Mrs. Lawal nodded; her gaze fixed on the court. "We've seen firsthand the threat that Hannah poses. But we can't overlook Aisa. This third quarter will revolve around her,"

Just as she finished speaking, Vicky tossed a pass towards Aisa, who was closely guarded by Tosin.

"Bring it on!" Tosin shouted, her unwavering determination palpable as she took a defensive stance

Aisa let out a chuckle before leaping into the air. Tosin, bewildered by her sudden inability to react, watched helplessly as Aisa unleashed a three-pointer, propelling the Rose Mary High School Team into the lead. The resounding cheers from the Rose Mary High School supporters echoed through the arena, the energy electric

"Aisa is the second-best power forward in the country, and she is the Rose Mary High School Team's unstoppable ace," Mrs. Lawal remarked, her tone grave. "If we can't stop that young lady, we have no chance of winning"

As the game resumed, the Queens took possession of the ball, with Chioma expertly dribbling up the court. Her advance was momentarily halted by Vicky, but anticipating the next move of the golden duo, Chioma quickly tossed a pass to Tosin, who was closely guarded by Aisa

Aisa, maintaining her composure, offered Tosin a friendly reminder. "Tosin, relax. We've got two quarters of basketball left. Let's just have fun"

Tosin nodded, acknowledging Aisa's skillful play. "Nice shot back there, Aisa. But, we will still win"

With that, Tosin leaped into the air, poised to shoot a three-pointer. Aisa, recognizing Tosin fearless determination, followed suit, aiming to block the shot

"Tosin's got nerves of steel, attempting to shoot right in front of me," Aisa thought, her admiration for Tosin's tenacity evident

In a swift and unexpected move, Tosin executed a subtle fake, smoothly penetrating the Rose Mary High School defense. Hannah rushed forward to stop Tosin's advance, but Tosin, displaying impressive court vision, tossed the ball to Eno, who finished the play with a slam dunk. The spectators – the Charlies Queens Academy supporters club erupted into deafening cheers, their excitement reaching a fever pitch

The Rose Mary High School Team was left stunned by Tosin's execution of a move strikingly similar to one of Aisa's signature moves. After seeing it just once, Tosin had managed to flawlessly replicate Aisa's technique

"I can't believe she copied Aisa," Vicky said, her voice filled with disbelief

Aanu voiced her concern, struggling to find a solution to counter Tosin's uncanny abilities. "How are we supposed to stop someone like that?"

Aisa, however, seemed unfazed by Tosin's tactic, a smile playing at her lips. "Interesting," she murmured, her eyes locked on Tosin

As the game resumed, the Rose Mary High School Team took control of the ball, with Aisa confidently leading the charge. She skillfully dribbled the ball up the court, only to have her progress halted by Tosin's tenacious defense

Unfazed by the challenge, Aisa rhythmically bounced the ball in front of Tosin, mentally strategizing her next moves. As the shot clock ticked down to ten seconds, Aisa's instincts took over, and she launched into a full-fledged attack. With lightning speed and precision, she effortlessly dribbled past Tosin, leaving her in the dust

Mercy and Shalom rushed in to stop Aisa's advance, but their efforts proved futile. Displaying her exceptional court vision, Aisa executed a pass while spinning around at high speed, displaying a mastery of the game that left the crowd in awe. The ball soared through the air, landing gracefully in Tracy's awaiting hands

"Nice pass, Captain," Tracy commended, her voice filled with admiration for her teammate's skillful play. Without hesitation, Aanu leaped into the air and unleashed a textbook three-pointer. The ball arced through the air, sailing directly into the hoop, eliciting a roar of approval from the Rose Mary High School Supporters Club

The tension of the game continued to escalate as the Queens took possession of the ball. Chioma led the charge, skillfully dribbling her way up court until she encountered the relentless defense of Vicky. Displaying impressive teamwork, Chioma quickly tossed the ball to Mercy, who, in turn, passed it to Shalom. Shalom wasted no time in finding Eno with a well-executed pass

"Eno, are you ready for round two?" Hannah inquired with a hint of provocation, maintaining her intense defensive pressure on the Queens' center

Irritated by Hannah's relentless defense, Eno hastily tossed the ball to Tosin, attempting to create an opening for her team

"Hah! Looks like passing the ball around is all you guys can do now," Aisa taunted, attempting to rattle the Queens' composure

"Don't underestimate the Queens!" Tosin retorted, displaying her unwavering determination to rally her teammates

Tosin fearlessly made her move, attempting to dribble past Aisa, but Aisa's impeccable defensive skills halted her efforts. Unfazed, Tosin resorted to execute a graceful turnaround jumper. Aisa, in a desperate attempt to block the shot, reacted quickly, and managed to graze the ball with her fingertips, causing it to bounce off the rim

As the ball ricochetted off the rim, a fierce rebounding battle ensued between Eno and Hannah. Eno's confidence had been shaken, and her body language reflected her internal struggle. Noticing Eno's hesitation, Hannah capitalized on the opportunity and secured the rebound. Without wasting a moment, Hannah passed the ball to the swiftly advancing Aisa

As the ball landed in Aisa's hands, she stormed towards the hoop and unleashed a powerful slam dunk. Tosin, determined to thwart Aisa's attack, sprinted after her and attempted to block the dunk, only to foul Aisa as she made the shot

The referee's whistle pierced the air as the crowd erupted into thunderous applause. "The red team's number 7 was fouled by the white team's number 10! The basket stands! One free throw!" The referee's announcement added another layer of excitement to the already electrifying atmosphere

"A three-point,play?" Tosin muttered, dismayed by the turn of events

"Don't worry about it, Tosin," Shalom reassured her, knowing they had to maintain their focus and composure.

Meanwhile, at the opposite end of the court, Hannah, disappointed in Eno's diminished spirit, confronted her. "What's wrong with you? This isn't the player I looked up to. If you've given up, there's no need for you to be on the court. It's a suicide mission to send a Soldier who lacks the will to fight into the battlefield. I'm disappointed. I can't believe I looked up to you all these years" she said and jogged away

As Hannah's words echoed in Eno's heart and mind, the buzzer sounded, signaling a substitution of players. Eno glanced up, noticing Mayowa standing beside Mrs. Lawal, and understood that she was being taken out of the game. With her head held high, Eno gracefully left the court, her heart weighed down by Hannah's stinging words

As soon as Eno took her seat on the bench, she broke down in tears, overwhelmed by the emotional turmoil that had taken hold of her. Meanwhile, back on the court, Aisa's shot from the free-throw line effortlessly pierced the net, inciting a resounding cheer from the crowd and adding another point to their growing lead

As the game progressed, the Queens demonstrated impeccable teamwork and strategic gameplay, keeping their opponent on their toes. The intensity reached its peak when Tosin attempted a powerful tomahawk slam dunk, only to be met by Aisa's swift and formidable block as she hit the rim with her hand and the ball with full force. "No, you don't!" Aisa yelled as the glass sounded loudly from the impact of her hand and the block. Hannah got the rebound and threw it towards Vicky, who had taken off to attack as soon as Aisa blocked Tosin's shot

The relentless action on the court has everyone on the edge of their seats, with parents, coaches, friends, teachers, and spectators all eager to see the outcome of the thrilling game. Aanu, and Vicky showcased their exceptional skills as the golden duo, working in perfect harmony to outmaneuver their opponents

"Vicky! Over here!" Aisa screamed.

On hearing Aisa request, Vicky tossed a pass towards Aisa. The cheering crowd reached a crescendo when Aisa leaped into the air for a slam dunk, only to be fouled by Tosin.

The referee's whistle pierced the air as the crowd erupted into thunderous applause. "The red team's number 7 was fouled by the white team's number 10! The basket stands! One free throw!"

The referee's announcement added to the mounting tension as Tosin was now dangerously closed to being ejected from the game

"Hey, isn't that her third foul of the game?" Oluchi asked, worry evident in her tone

"Yeah, if she gets 5, she'd be ejected from the game. In other words, she'd sit out the rest of the game" Mrs. Lawal explained

"Tch. Damn it!" Oluchi said, irritation evident in her face

The supporters of both teams held their breath as Aisa stepped up to take the free throw, which she successfully scored, furthering their lead. Oluchi and Mrs. Lawal couldn't help but feel the pressure of the situation

As the game progressed, the Queens took possession of the ball. Chioma expertly dribbled the ball up the court, leading the Queens in yet another determined attack against their fierce opponents, the Rose Mary High School Basket Team. Just as she began to gain momentum, Vicky swiftly intercepted her, halting Chioma's progress. With a sly grin, Vicky taunted, "Chioma, what's the matter? What happened to all that energy you showed in the first half?"

Irritated by Vicky's taunt, Chioma swiftly redirected her focus and sent a pass flying towards her teammate, Mercy. Without hesitation, Mercy leaped into the air and unleashed a shot from inside the two points area. The ball soared through the air, only to ricochet off the rim, prompting a resounding call for action from Mrs. Lawal

"Rebound!" she screamed from her seat on the bench, vigorously encouraging her players to keep fighting

In a split second, Mayowa leaped into the air, miraculously touching the ball even when Hannah hadn't jumped. However, in her haste, Mayowa lost her grip of the ball, causing a brief moment of shock amongst everyone on the court

"Hannah, get the ball!" Aisa commanded, snapping the stunned Hannah back to reality

Regaining her focus, Hannah leaped into the air and secured the rebound. In a display of seamless teamwork, she tossed a pass towards Aisa, who was already in motion to launch an immediate counter attack

"Bring it on!" Tosin challenged, her voice echoing through the court as she halted Aisa's advance

Undeterred, Aisa confidently replied, "I know you wouldn't give up easily." Seamlessly transitioning into her shooting stance, she executed a subtle yet effective fake. Driven by desperation to stop Aisa, Tosin fell for the feint, propelling herself into the air to block the shot. Aisa, however, capitalized on the opportunity, expertly unleashed a three-pointer while drawing yet another foul from Tosin. The ball swished through the net, inciting cheers of approval from the captivated crowd. "And that's what I admire about you, Tosin," Aisa complimented her rival

The referee acknowledged the basket and granted an additional free throw for the Rose Mary High School. Aisa stepped forward, her nerves of steel enabling her to score the resulting free throw with ease. The crowd erupted into an uproar, chanting her name as their team's lead grew

Eno, observing the events with a newfound determination, called out to Mrs. Lawal. "Coach," she began, "please let me play in the final quarter"

Mrs. Lawal, intrigued by Eno's unexpected request, inquired, "Yeah, why? Do you have something in mind? An idea, perhaps?"

Eno replied, "I see how Hannah's jumps work, and I know how to stop her. Till the game ends, I won't let Hannah get a single rebound!" Her serious expression left no room for doubt

The Queens' bench sat in stunned silence, taken aback by Eno's sudden assertiveness. Mrs. Lawal, however, couldn't suppress a small smile, recognizing the potential impact Eno's renewed resolve could have on the outcome of the game
