Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Give Me The Ability, I'll Do The Job For You

Everyone in the group was dumbfounded.

Although Ace, Hashirama, and the others didn't know who Harribel was, based on their understanding of Jin's character, they could roughly guess why he said that.

It was simply that Jin didn't fancy the one called Matsumoto Rangiku, and he preferred that Harribel instead.

Gin was struck speechless by this thunderous response.

'Damn, I had even offered up my childhood friend, and this guy still looked down on her?'

'Did he not know that Rangiku was one of the top beauties in the Gotei 13?!'

[Ulquiorra: Can Hollows even do that sort of thing?]

A rare occurrence.

Like Gin, Ulquiorra hadn't spoken since joining the group and had been lurking. Now he came out to make complaints.

[Jin: We'll only know by trying.]

Speaking of which, he remembered Harribel's Hollow hole was in a rather awkward position.

'But it probably wasn't a problem. After all, there were two other holes, right?'

[Gin: @Jin, Are you... serious?]

[Jin: Haha~ Just kidding. I'm actually quite keen on your ability.]

Although Gin's Shinso seemed far inferior when compared to overpowered Zanpakuto like Yamamoto's Ryūjin Jakka or Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu, it was definitely more than sufficient.

If possible, Jin certainly wanted it.

Jin then explained the reason:

[Jin: It's just that I don't plan to go to your world anytime soon. There are too many powerful figures there… I'm not in a hurry to die.]

Among the worlds of Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach, the Bleach World undoubtedly had the highest power level. Especially the Wandenreich, which was full of monsters. Jin wouldn't even consider going there before reaching the Six Paths-level.

[Jin: I won't be going to your world for at least several decades. Moreover, facing a monster like Yhwach, I'm not confident I can protect your childhood friend. I won't trick you into giving me your sword now. Let's talk about the commission when I'm confident enough to go.]

After Jin said this, the attitudes of everyone in the chat room underwent subtle changes.

In the eyes of many among them, Jin could have totally fooled Gin into handing over his ability and then gone back on his promise. After all, why not eat the cake right in front of his face?

Jin explained indifferently:

[I'm a man of my word in business. I recognize the ability, not the person. Give me the ability, I'll do the job for you. I absolutely won't resort to deception or trickery.]

Having transmigrated for so long, Jin had figured out his cheat's ability. It was more like a legitimate transaction than a cheat.

Perhaps initially, he could have cheated a few people out of their abilities by being sneaky.

But what about after that? After losing credibility, which of the big shots in the group would do business with him?

Therefore, Jin was determined: If he took a job, he would definitely do it. And the commission Gin proposed was something he currently couldn't fulfill, that's why he chose to refuse.

Hearing Jin's words, Ace suddenly spoke up:

[Ace: @Jin, Is your earlier promise still valid? The one where you said that if I give you the Mera Mera no Mi's ability, you won't kill Luffy even if you take two of his crew members?]

[Jin: Whether Monkey D. Luffy wants to be the Pirate King or liberate the world or whatever, it's none of my business. I just want the two beauties on his ship.]

[Jin: @Ace, Since you're asking me, whether I do it or not, you have to pay. Remember, if even a single part is missing, I won't let Monkey D. Luffy off.]

[Ace: ...]

A silent tension persisted for about half a minute.

Then, the chat room system's voice suddenly rang out:

[Ding! Group member, Portgas D. Ace, has issued a commission task: Don't Kill My Brother]

[Task Content: After entering the One Piece World, group member Jin must not kill Monkey D. Luffy.]

[Task Reward: Mera Mera no Mi's ability.]

'Emmm... Not killing him is fine, but I'll still take Nami, Robin, and Hancock.'

He is not sure why, but the thought of taking Nami and the others after they've already become part of Luffy's crew feels inexplicably more exciting.
