The voice was neither loud nor soft, but clear enough in the hospital room. Jared's temple visibly twitched twice, his expression cold and dark. "You don't care?"
Melody Thorne averted her gaze. Jared didn't know the truth of what happened back then. After her rebirth, she had always wanted to leave him, so she never considered telling him. Even if Ivy had always held that matter over her, did she lose?
"Then can I just kill her or sell her to a bar to work as a hostess?" Melody spoke out.
"This..." Timothy Lockwood also looked towards Jared.
"Spare her life," Jared said indifferently, turning to look at the petite woman sitting on the bed. "You're not suited for anything too bloody."
"In the end, you still want to protect her," Melody snorted coldly, leaning against the head of the bed. "Where are my clothes? I need to change."
Of course, she wouldn't really want Ivy's life; she felt her hands would be dirty if she did.
