"Pull her up," Melody Thorne spoke,
Ivy was pulled up again, and began breathing heavily, gradually gaining strength.
"Throw her down."
"Splash," Ivy fell down once more.
Seeing her near death, yet being pulled up again, unable to die yet.
"When did she become so ruthless?" Timothy Lockwood wondered. When she first married Jared Quinn, she couldn't even bring herself to kill an ant.
Jared Quinn's gaze was somewhat complicated; he strode over and covered Melody Thorne's eyes with one hand, "Don't look."
He didn't want to see her cold-blooded side; this demeanor didn't belong to Melody Thorne.
Ever since Melody Thorne emerged from the seawater, she had been holding on, holding on for revenge. She wanted Ivy to feel that same sensation but wouldn't easily let her die.
Upon really seeing the moment Ivy got punished, aside from satisfaction, the deep-rooted hatred within her was slowly dissipating.
Ivy wasn't her opponent anymore.
