Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Truth

"Please... save me"

"It's not me... it's really not me..."

On the tranquil sea surface came the sounds of a woman's pleas for help, particularly ear-catching amidst the already vast and silent sea.

The woman was beautiful, with long, slightly curled dark hair that was blown from behind her ear to the front by the cool sea breeze, obscuring a delicately beautiful face that could captivate anyone. Her slender hands desperately tugged at the red dress of the woman in front of her, her body half-slumped on the ground, her small face flushed unnaturally. "Ivy, we're best friends, you should understand me, I wouldn't drug Jared, I'm begging you, help me explain to him, okay? I don't want him to misunderstand me..."

Ivy lowered her head, her usual gentleness now vanished, and looked at Melody Thorne with nothing but mockery, long wishing for Melody to end up as she was now.

"Help you? How can I help you? Melody Thorne, you should know better than anyone, Jared never truly cared about you, and you've used schemes in front of him time and time again. Even if I wanted to help you, he wouldn't listen. Besides, you're drugged now, the thing you should be thinking about is how to find a man to relieve your heat."

"No, no, I don't want to find other men, I won't even if I die." Melody Thorne's eyes showed panic. "Ivy, you're my best friend, help me, help me find Jared, won't you?"

Ivy's eyes gradually turned sinister, grabbing her hair fiercely. "Melody Thorne, calling you foolish was overestimating you. I'm telling you, I will never call Jared for you, because... the drugs in you both were administered by me."

The pain from her hair forced Melody to lift her head, her pupils contracted sharply. "It was you?"

"Yes, it was me. Did you see these men around you? They are all here for you, and Jared is in the cabin of the big ship. The drug in him will be resolved by me, and then I'll take the position of Mrs. Quinn!"

Melody Thorne's entire body convulsed with pain, her whole being trembled, tears mixed with deep hatred fell from her eyes.

She finally realized how terribly wrong she was.

"Ivy, I will never let you go even if I die!" Melody Thorne cried out in despair.

"Heh," Ivy released her hair. "You have no chance in this lifetime. After they've had their fun with you, you'll be sold to the nightclub as the top attraction!"

"Hmm..." Melody Thorne couldn't control the low moan that escaped her mouth, her rationality gradually engulfed, her face even more flushed, and the exposed snow-white skin under her white dress tinged with a faint pink that captured the attention of countless men on the ship.

All closing in on her, staring at her greedily.

"Hey, can't handle it anymore? Come on, let us guys have a good time with you."

"Miss Ivy, you said it's been long enough, isn't it our turn now? The brothers can't hold it in anymore."

"Hahahaha..."

Ivy's crimson lips bore a thin smile, quietly whispering in her ear, "Let me tell you one more thing, do you know whose child Little Bao is?"

"It's the artificial baby you left with that man when you passed out back then!"

Melody Thorne's eyes widened at her, realizing that Little Bao was her child, yet she never knew.

"Go die! I will become his stepmother and love him well on your behalf!" Ivy raised the corners of her lips triumphantly.
