Uncle chuckled, like he'd heard a joke, "I'm old, and it's uncertain whether you can take care of me. I'm supposed to count on him?"
Thea Lynch tilted her head, smiling, "Who else do you want to count on besides us? Is there anyone else you can rely on? You're just calling it an investment now."
Uncle imitated her, repeating sarcastically, "You're just calling it an investment now."
Laughing, Thea patted his arm, "Alright, alright, go rest, leave this to me."
"What are you staying here for? He's already asleep."
Uncle told her to go back and rest early, as it was already very late.
"I'll wipe his face and have him drink the sobering tea, then I'll go."
"Hurry up."
After uncle left, Thea woke Ian Preston up and had him finish the sobering tea. Even when drunk, Ian was very cooperative.
Thea held a warm towel, "Close your eyes, let me wipe your face."
He stared at her for a few seconds before slowly closing his eyes.
He's so obedient now. Thea felt her heart melt.
